With the conclusion of SummerSlam, WWE continued teasing new storylines on last week’s Friday Night SmackDown, announcing multiple matches for this week’s show. The August 14 edition of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

- Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Jacy Jayne – Women’s United States title match
- Baron Corbin (c) vs Carmelo Hayes – United States title match
- Wepa Up (R-Truth & Damian Priest) (c) vs The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs The Tongans (Talla & Tama Tonga) – Triple Threat match for the WWE Tag Team titles

Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Jacy Jayne – Women’s United States title match
Chelsea Green’s title celebration last week was interrupted by Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid), with Jayne vowing to take the Women’s United States title from Tiffany, who in return offered a title match in Boston in exchange for a Tag Team match against her and Chelsea in Philly last week.
Henley and Reid managed to retain the titles, defeating the duo of Green and Tiffany, and now Stratton is set to defend the Women’s United States title in Boston against Jacy Jayne.
Baron Corbin (c) vs Carmelo Hayes – United States title match
On the other hand, after his successful title defense against Trick Williams in the SummerSlam rematch last week, United States Champion Baron Corbin was ambushed by Carmelo Hayes backstage.
Hayes then informed Corbin that he had met with Nick Aldis and he’s got the US title match for his hometown for the August 14 show.
Wepa Up (R-Truth & Damian Priest) (c) vs The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs The Tongans (Talla & Tama Tonga) – Triple Threat match for the WWE Tag Team titles
Another title match announced for Boston will see WWE Tag Team Champions Wepa Up (R-Truth & Damian Priest) defend the titles in a triple threat match against the War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) and The Tongans (Talla & Tama Tonga).
