Notably, the show will not air live, as it has been pre-taped on Monday after Raw this Monday. Multiple top names, including Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Gunther, Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton, Cody Rhodes, and Randy Orton, among others, will be featured on the show.

WWE SmackDown (August 28, 2026) SPOILERS!
- Kevin Owens kicked off the show with a promo, but CM Punk interrupted. Gunther then interrupted Punk, followed by Finn Balor. This led to Kevin Owens vs Gunther vs Finn Balor in a #1 contender match being set up.
- The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend) defeated Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green. Chelsea was taken away by medics during the match but returned to continue.
- Backstage, Gunther interrupts a meeting between Nick Aldis and Danhausen.
- Jacy Jayne defeated Paige. Nikki Bella returned to attack Paige after the match.
- Cody Rhodes and Finn Balor shared a promo segment as Balor continued to factor into the night’s World Heavyweight Championship picture.
- Trick Williams shared a segment with Lil Yachty before Baron Corbin got involved.
- Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton in-ring segment.
- Tatum Paxley was interviewed in a segment that also featured Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
- Rey Fenix was interviewed before Ricky Saints got involved in the segment.
- Tatum Paxley defeated Michin by pinfall.
- Blake Monroe did a backstage interview and was ambushed by Giulia.
- Damian Priest and R-Truth spoke backstage in a segment that also featured The War Raiders.

- Kevin Owens and Randy Orton had an interaction later in the show.
- Gunther vs Finn Balor vs Kevin Owens took place in a #1 contender’s match, but the bout was thrown out after Sami Zayn interfered.
- CM Punk came out after the match, but Zayn laid everyone out with the championship to close the segment.
