WWE SmackDown beats Shark Tank, Dateline NBC & more in this week's ratings

The 11/22 episode of SmackDown marked the return of CM Punk and Paul Heyman
The November 22 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, home of the Utah Jazz. This episode aimed to build on the dramatic events from the previous week while delivering thrilling matches and segments for Blue Brand fans.
Ahead of the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, the promotion continued to build storylines for the announced matches. The episode featured the return of two WWE giants, CM Punk and Paul Heyman.
Punk made his return to the OG Bloodline as their fifth member for the WarGames clash against the rogue faction. The episode also featured the second match in the Women’s US Title tournament.
The US Champion LA Knight defended his title against Santos Escobar, he was attacked a second time by Shinsuke Nakamura who made his return earlier this month.
The November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 1.442 million viewers
The 11/22 episode of the Blue brand which aired from the Delta Centre in Salt Lake City amassed an average of 1.442 million viewers, and an average of 551K viewers in the 18-49 demo, according to Fast Nationals.
The broadcast outperformed all other programs by over 100k viewers this week. It garnered 32% more viewers in the key advertising demo compared to FOX’s Big 10 game between Michigan State and Purdue, which averaged 417k viewers.
Meanwhile, ABC aired new episodes of Shark Tank and 20/20, CBS featured S.W.A.T. and Fire Country, and NBC broadcast new episodes of Happy’s Place, Lopez vs. Lopez, and Dateline NBC.
The viewership numbers show a 17% overall increase week-over-week, with a 28% rise in the 18-49 demo compared to last week’s episode. Last week’s broadcast of the Blue brand averaged 1.234 million viewers and a 0.32 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
Following the 11/22 episode the 11/29 episode of the Blue brand was also pre-taped in Salt Lake City due to the upcoming holiday of Thanksgiving.

Jacob Fatu defeated Jey Uso in the Men’s WarGames advantage match in the pre-taped episode. The rogue faction now holds the advantage in the clash at the upcoming PLE.
