Winner: Jey Uso

Grade: C

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • Jey winning the match isn’t surprising given the push he recieves by WWE, but Rusev should have won the match given his history with Cena. At the very least, WWE should decide a proper direction for him.
  • Cathy Kelley interviewed LA Knight backstage, explaining that Nick Aldis still hadn’t told him who his opponent would be. When he learned he’d be facing yet another mystery opponent, he grew flustered and insisted he should have advanced. He said the tournament was starting to irk him and warned that whoever the mystery opponent was, they were getting hit with a BFT for the three the hard way.
  • Backstage, The Miz was trying to convince GM Nick Aldis to put him in the match against LA Knight. R-Truth came out and has another ‘take my balls’ shenanigans and Miz capitalized replacing the sheet and when Aldis finally drew out a name from the tumbler it turned out to be Miz.

Chelsea Green’s US title celebration

Damian Priest was interviewed backstage by Cathy Kelley. He said his eye had healed and that was behind him, insisting he was still the same and nothing about him was changing, despite Aleister Black and Zelina Vega thinking otherwise. Zelina Vega then walked in, questioning where the “punishment” was and why Priest seemed to be the only one getting punished.

Damian asked if her “big bad husband” had sent her, but she said she came on her own because he was busy with more important matters. And if Priest really wanted punishment, Black would happily oblige. A spotlight flickered on in the background, revealing Aleister Black standing there. Rhea Ripley arrived moments later, embracing Damian and mentioning she had an idea to run by him later.

Back in the ring, Chelsea Green made her entrance accompanied by Alba Fyre, with “Miss North America” sash around her and the two titles on each shoulder to kick off the US title celebration. Green called herself as the most dangerous United States Champion, claiming it was an honor to be the greatest women’s champion not just in WWE or U.S. history, but across the entire the North American continent.

She said she wanted to start her celebration with an extremely expensive pyrotechins display in her name. She then counted down from five, to suit the “greatest women’s champion in the North Americas. However, Jade Cargill appeared instead of the pyros going off and took out Fyre with a big boot, Green was then hit with Jaded as Jade left. As Jade walked off, the pyros finally went off, startling both Green and Fyre.

Grade: D

Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • Not sure what it would mean for Cargill’s title reign just beefing with every mid-card talent. Maybe it might change after Survivor Series.
  • Backstage,
  • Backstage, Cathy Kelley asked why Jade Cargill attacked Gree. Jade said she had an issue with anyone running their mouth, and if anyone else had a problem, they were welcome to step up. B-FAB brushed past her, as Jade to ask if she had a problem, but B-Fab wisely backed off. Michin walked up to check on her B-Fab, and remarked that no one seemed willing to stand up to Jade, so it might just have to be her.
  • Backstage, The babyface women’s WarGames team was hyping up Flair, AJ Lee said she was confident they would win and promised to make it happen. Charlotte Flair intially was doubtful as her last outing with Asuka ended in a massive injury, but added that she planned to secure the advantage for their team.

LA Knight vs The Miz – The Last Time is Now Tournament Quarterfinals match

In the fourth quarterfinals of the Last Time Is Now Tournament, LA Knight battled The Miz, who officilay replaced an injured Sheamus with some clever shenanigans. However, Miz was unable to capitalize on the second opportunity, despite hitting the Skull Crushing Finale and even locking in the STF.

Knight managed to reach to the ropes to break the hold, as Miz tried to stack up Knight, using the ropes but referee Charles Robinson caught him. Miz then went for the Skull Crushing Finale again, but Knight turned it around to hit the BFT and pin Miz to secure the semi-final spot against Jey Uso.

Winner: LA Knight

Grade: C

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • Backstage, Becky Lynch gave them a “pep talk” to her WarGames team that mostly involved scolding the others for not winning as consistently as she does. Nia Jax cut her off, saying the night wasn’t about Becky, it was about Asuka beating Charlotte Flair to earn the advantage. Asuka then reminded them that the last time she defeated Charlotte, Charlotte ended up out for an entire year.

The two women know each other very well and the match ended up being leaps ahead of the previous bout on the go-home show.

In the final moments of the match, Asuka accidentally misted a crew member ringside, as Flair ducked. He began to address Tama Tonga when Tommaso Ciampa walked in, telling him the only person he should be worried about was him, pulling out Axiom’s mask and explaining that he took it from “Fraxiom” last week and would take the title next. Dragunov admitted he had a point and said he’d think about it, “jackass.”
