WWE SmackDown (July 5, 2024): Match card, news, rumors, predictions, timings, telecast details
(Courtesy : WWE)
This is going to be the last episode of WWE SmackDown before MITB 2024.
Last week on SmackDown, we saw Paul Heyman lying on his back as the 57-year-old was hit by a hard-hitting triple powerbomb through the table. The Bloodline raised hell last week as they took out Paul Heyman indirectly calling out Roman Reigns for war. We also saw the addition of the “Samoan Wolf” Jacob Fatu into the Bloodline.
Also, Solo Sikoa crowned himself as the new Tribal Chief and the show ended. With many things going on it will be interesting to see what will go through the coming Friday Night SmackDown. There were some qualifying matches for Money in the Bank 2024 ladder match as well, for which Tiffany Stratton, Naomi and LA Knight found themselves going to the PPV.
With SmackDown going to Canada let’s take a look at a brief preview of what can happen in the blue brand this week.
WWE SmackDown Match Cards & Preview
- A-Town Down Under (c) vs DIY – Tag team match for the WWE Tag Team Championships
- Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell
- Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) vs The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)
A-Town Down Under (c) vs DIY – Tag team match for the WWE Tag Team Championships
As revealed on the June 28 edition of WWE SmackDown, A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory) will defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa). The champs stood tall during a backstage incident on Friday night. However, with WWE already teasing Waller and Theory’s split, there is a good chance the championship could change hands.
Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will face Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae. On the June 28 edition of Money in the Bank, Cargill and LeRae cost each other qualifying matches. After neutralizing an interfering Candice LeRae and costing Indi Hartwell a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match, Jade Cargill will team up with Bianca Belair to face the diabolical combination. But, Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill are expected to win the match.
Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) vs The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)
Pretty Deadly’s Elton Prince and Kit Wilson face Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits in another tag team match. The July 5 episode of WWE SmackDown takes place in the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and is the first of three events at the stadium, following Money in the Bank and NXT Heat Wave.
