The landscape of SmackDown might change after this week.
Before going back to Europe ahead of Night of Champions PLE in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, WWE will deliver the June 19 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The June 19 edition of the Blue brand will air live from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Drew McIntyre, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, and Randy Orton are listed as featured superstars for the show. WWE has announced a stacked card, featuring multiple matches with Championship stakes that could change the landscape of the brand.
Ahead of this Friday’s show in Kansas City, let us now take a look at the full and detailed preview for WWE SmackDown, including match card, timings, and telecast details.
Announced for WWE SmackDown (June 19, 2026)
- Cody Rhodes (c) vs Gunther – Undisputed WWE title match (with Sami Zayn as the special guest referee)
- Charlotte Flair vs Liv Morgan – 2026 Queen of the Ring semi-final
- Carmelo Hayes vs Ricky Saints – Winner earns U.S title match at Night of Champions
- R-Truth & Damian Priest (c) vs The MFT (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) – WWE Tag Team titles match
Cody Rhodes (c) vs Gunther – Undisputed WWE title match
On last week’s show, Gunther was poised to reveal the stipulation for the Undisputed title rematch against Cody Rhodes, and the Ring General chose Sami Zayn as the special guest referee, as he didn’t trust General Manager Nick Aldis’ officials after the Clash in Italy fiasco.
WWE shortly announced the rematch between Cody and Gunther with the Undisputed title on the line and Sami as the special guest referee. Rhodes and Sami once again got into an argument and a slap fest last week, which has made things more complicated for the Champion as Zayn now holds all the cards.
Charlotte Flair vs Liv Morgan – 2026 Queen of the Ring semi-final

The second semi-final of the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament will be contested on this week’s show of the Blue brand. Iyo Sky has already qualified for the finals after defeating Raquel Rodriguez on this week’s Raw.
Now, Charlotte Flair and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan battle to secure the final spot. The winners of the King and Queen tournaments will earn world title opportunities at WWE SummerSlam, similar to how the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber format works regarding WrestleMania.
Carmelo Hayes vs Ricky Saints – Winner earns U.S title match at Night of Champions
Meanwhile, after last week’s brawl, where United States Champion Trick Williams laid them both out, Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints are now set to battle in a number one contenders’ match for the US title in Kansas City this Friday.
The winner will battle Williams for the title at Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Hayes is looking to regain the title, while Saints wants to capture his first title since moving to the main roster.
R-Truth & Damian Priest (c) vs The MFT (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) – WWE Tag Team titles match
R-Truth and Damian Priest will defend their WWE Tag Team titles against the MFTs (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga). This will be their fifth title defense and first this month.
Notably, Truth has not been medically cleared to compete, and this announcement likely means that the fan-favorite star is medically cleared and ready to defend the title alongside his tag partner, Priest.
