Hello everyone and welcome to Khel Now’s HIGHLIGHTS and RESULTS of the WWE Friday Night SmackDown (August 15, 2025). The start of the show is just a few hours away! I’m your host, Abhijit, and I’ll be keeping you company through what promises to be a fascinating evening of pro wrestling action. Please wait 30 seconds for the Live blog to load.
The August 15 episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to emanate live from the D Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, and will continue the build towards Clash in Paris, which is now two weeks away.
Multiple top names, including WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, LA Knight, and Jacob Fatu, are advertised for the show. The promotion has announced multiple matches and segments for the show.
Announced matches & segments for WWE SmackDown (08/15)
- The Miz & Carmelo Hayes vs Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer)– Tag Team match
- DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa) vs Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) – Tag Team match
- Drew McIntyre will address attacking Cody Rhodes
- Alexa Bliss vs Piper Niven
- Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, LA Knight, and Jacob Fatu are listed as featured superstars
The Miz & Carmelo Hayes vs Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) – Tag Team match

In a backstage segment last week, Carmelo Hayes knocked on Nick Aldis’ office when The Miz unexpectedly popped out. Hayes was unhappy to see him and complained that Miz had left him hanging for nearly two months.
The A-Lister offered several explanations before telling him he’d secured a tag team match to remind everyone of how great Melo is. Hayes left as Aldis arrived, and Miz followed him into his office to make the match happen. They will now battle the former NXT Tag Champs Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) this week.
DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa) vs Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) – Tag Team match
During last week’s show, A Wyatt Sicks VHS promo aired, where Uncle Howdy promised never to lead the audience astray. Each member took turns saying cryptic phrases while clips of the SummerSlam TLC match played.
After the promo, the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) reacted to the promo in a backstage segment when DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa) approached to chastise them for losing the tag titles and causing Candice LeRae to suffer a painful bruise on her hip in the TLC match. The two teams exchanged heated words, and GM Nick Aldis intervened, vowing to get the tag division under control, starting with a match between the two teams for this week.
Drew McIntyre will address attacking Cody Rhodes
Following the vicious attack on Rhodes during the final moments of August 8, Drew McIntyre is now set to address the attack on Cody Rhodes on this week’s show. WWE is seemingly moving in the direction of booking Rhodes vs McIntyre for the WWE title at the upcoming Clash in Paris.
The segment will likely further the feud, and fans can expect an appearance from Cody, which will likely lead to another brawl.
Alexa Bliss vs Piper Niven
One-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss, is set to battle Secret Hervice’s Piper Niven on this week’s show.
This follows last week’s events, when Alexa Bliss’ tag partner Charlotte Flair handed Chelsea Green a humiliating defeat, aided by Bliss herself. Bliss took out Piper Niven and Alba Fyre, who attempted to interfere in the match.
