CM Punk (c) vs Kevin Owens – Undisputed Title match
In the lead-up to their title showdown, a fiery war of words transpired last week between Undisputed Champion CM Punk and the number one contender Kevin Owens.
The two are now set to lace up their boots for the August 21 show. Punk will defend the Undisputed title for the second time against Owens in his hometown this Friday. KO secured the shot in his return at SummerSlam, where he won the fatal four-way match, pinning Sami Zayn.
The MFTs (c) vs R-Truth & Damian Priest – WWE Tag Team titles match
On the other hand, the newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga will defend their titles in a rematch against former Champions, R-Truth and Damian Priest.
Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton to appear
Furthermore, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are both advertised to appear on the show following last week’s brawl that saw both men at each other’s throats.
Giulia vs Blake Monroe
Blake Monroe’s in-ring debut on the main roster is also confirmed for the show after last week’s segment where Giulia confronted her and asked GM Nick Aldis to give her the match against Monroe. The match between Monroe and Giulia is now official for this Friday.
