Hello everyone and welcome to Khel Now’s HIGHLIGHTS, GRADES, and RESULTS of the WWE Friday Night SmackDown (December 12, 2025). The start of the show is just a few hours away! I’m your host, Abhijit, and I’ll be keeping you company through what promises to be a fascinating evening of pro wrestling action. Please wait 30 seconds for the Live blog to load.

With the road to Saturday Night’s Main Event already paved, this Friday’s edition of SmackDown promises one last blast before history is made.

On December 12, 2025, at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the stage is set for a high-stakes, adrenaline-charged night for WWE fans.

With three massive matches on the card, including a mixed tag, a U.S. Title bout, and a high-octane singles showdown, this SmackDown serves as the final go-home show before WWE legend John Cena bows out for good. Let’s get into what fans should expect before the big farewell.

Announced matches & segments for WWE SmackDown (December 12, 2025)

  • Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs Aleister Black & Zelina Vega – Mixed tag team match
  • Ilja Dragunov (c) vs Tomasso Ciampa – US title match
  • Alexa Bliss vs Lash Legend
  • SNME go-home show
  • Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Sami Zayn, Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, & Ilja Dragunov are listed as featured superstars

Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs Aleister Black & Zelina Vega – Mixed tag team match

Damian Priest and Aleister Black still haven’t settled their score, despite Zelina Vega’s shocking heel turn two months ago that aligned her with her husband on SmackDown.

Their rivalry reached a brutal peak in a Last Man Standing match that ended with a fireball to the face, leaving many wondering how either man could possibly raise the stakes any further.

The solution? Bring in Raw’s Rhea Ripley. Her arrival injects new energy, higher drama, and an unpredictable dynamic into the feud, creating the perfect setup for a mixed tag showdown that could finally push Priest and Black to their breaking point.

Ilja Dragunov (c) vs Tomasso Ciampa – US title match

Ilja Dragunov’s United States Championship reign rolls into SmackDown, but not without tension after last week’s controversy. Tommaso Ciampa appeared ready to challenge for the title, only for Carmelo Hayes to cut him off, claiming he was already booked and mocking Ciampa in the process.

The Austin crowd was firmly behind Hayes as he pushed Dragunov to the absolute limit in a hard-fought battle. However, interference from a 40-year-old star shifted the momentum and left the champion furious. Now Ciampa finally gets his shot, and Dragunov enters SmackDown with something to prove and someone to punish.

Alexa Bliss vs Lash Legend

Alexa Bliss will take on Lash Legend as the rivalry between the respective tag teams continues. It is important to note that Alexa Bliss’ team did win the wargames match at Survivor Series over the team that featured Lash Legend.

SNME go-home show

This show of the Blue Brand is also the last stop before SNME. SNME will feature not only clashes between some of the top WWE stars against the best of NXT but also John Cena’s final WWE bout. With Cody Rhodes taking on Oba Femi at the event, we can expect both stars to be part of SmackDown this week in some capacity.
