The drama that unfolded in the first match of the show, where Drew McIntyre attacked Cody Rhodes during the latter’s match with NXT Champion Oba Femi, could unravel on this Friday on SmackDown at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

While the drama in the women’s tag team division has only been growing over the past few weeks and we could witness more of the same on tonight’s show. There could also be some big returns on the cards, as 14-time World Champion Randy Orton and former WWE Women’s champion Tiffany Stratton could return.

Ilja Dragunov’s US Open challenge could also be a feature on the show, continuing his growing momentum from recent weeks.

The December 19 episode will serve as the fallout show for the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, where John Cena bid farewell to the WWE Universe. Multiple big names, including Cody Rhodes, Tiffany Stratton, Randy Orton, Jade Cargill, and Jacob Fatu, are being advertised for the show.

WWE has started pre-taping matches and segments to give talents time-off before their big annual winter holiday tour. On Monday in Hershey, Pennsylvania, WWE pre-taped many matches & segments, likely parts of the November 26 show of SmackDown, and will likely pre-tape the upcoming November 22 show of Raw this Friday in Michigan.
