Jimmy Uso vs Drew McIntyre
On the last week’s episode, ‘The Scottish Pyscopath’ Drew McIntyre once again tried to get in Jimmy Uso’s head pointing out the success his brother Jey Uso is having compared to him. However, Big Jim was not in the mood as he took out McIntyre with a brutal superkick.
Later in the show, the promotion announced a clash between the two stars for the show in the Smoothie King Center. This clash will be a new addition to the rivalry between McIntyre and the OG Bloodline members.
DIY (c) vs Pretty Deadly – WWE Tag Team Championship match
WWE Tag Team Champions Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano(DIY) have repeatedly denied Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) a title shot, despite initially promising them an opportunity in exchange for their help.
In a shocking turn of events, General Manager Nick Aldis offered Kit Wilson and Elton Prince of Pretty Deadly a chance to earn a title shot against Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano (DIY) on the February 7th episode. Defying expectations, Pretty Deadly emerged victorious securing the title match against DIY, which will take place in this week’s episode.
Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest & Braun Strowman vs Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga
Following last week’s fiasco in the final moments of SmackDown where Solo Sikoa accidentally took out Tama Tonga while brawling with Cody Rhodes, a match has been set for this week’s show. The Undisputed WWE Champion will team up with Damian Priest and Braun Strowman to battle the team of Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga in a triple threat match.
The Rock set to return
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is set to make his return on the 02/21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in New Orleans, this was confirmed by WWE CCO Triple H.
This upcoming appearance will mark Johnson’s first show since the January 6th Raw Netflix debut event at the Intuit Dome. During that event, Johnson made an appearance, acknowledging “The OTC” and placing the ancestral Ula Fala necklace around Roman Reigns‘ neck after his victory over Solo Sikoa in the Tribal Combat match.
