The blue brand will try to build new storylines post-King and Queen of the Ring

The WWE Universe is still reeling after the electrifying King and Queen of the Ring premium live event (PLE) that occurred this past Saturday. The evening was packed with heated battles, unexpected upsets, and magnificent performances, all ending in the crowning of the new WWE royalty.

These tournaments have always been a part of WWE’s rich history, but this year’s edition was especially noteworthy, featuring some of the most exciting matchups we’ve ever seen. The PLE gave a stage for Superstars to make their mark on WWE history, and they delivered in spades.

As we transition from this epic event, expectations are at an all-time high for the first WWE SmackDown after the King and Queen of the Ring. The blue brand is intended to deliver us the explosive aftermath, showcasing repercussions from the PLE and laying the ground for new storylines and rivalries.

The newly crowned Queen will get her moment in the limelight, celebrating her victory and speaking to the WWE Universe for the first time as royalty. Her coronation ceremony is scheduled to be a magnificent spectacle that matches the magnitude of her achievement.

Without further ado, here’s a sneak peek at WWE SmackDown’s post-King and Queen of the Ring episode. Let’s run through it.

WWE Smackdown (May 31, 2024): Match Card

  • Nia Jax’s “Queen of the Ring” Coronation Ceremony
  • Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhode Will Address the fans

Nia Jax’s “Queen of the Ring” Coronation Ceremony

“The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax made an incredible statement on her path to earning the second-ever Queen of the Ring crown. When many believed Lyra Valkyria was going to pull the “mother of all upsets,” Jax destroyed her with a devastating Annihilator.

On this week’s WWE SmackDown, Nia Jax has her moment, and rightly so, as she endures her Queen of the Ring coronation ceremony. How will the new boss of the WWE women’s division handle the locker room and the WWE Universe?

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes Will Address the Fans

The Undisputed WWE Champion. Rhodes engaged in a memorable duel with the “Maverick” and United States Champion Logan Paul.

There were other instances where Paul appeared to have Cody’s number. However, the “American Nightmare” demonstrated to everyone why he is “the guy” in WWE. Following his successful title defense, Cody Rhodes will address the WWE SmackDown fans. What will he say, and who will be the next to stand up to him?
