Time to settle the score between two former champions.
The October 30 edition of Friday Night SmackDown concluded at Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia, with both World titles on the line.
While Sami Zayn, Chelsea Green and Rey Fenix defended their respective championships on the night, all eyes will be now on upcoming episode of the blue brand which will be serving as the go-home show before Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The November 6 episode of WWE SmackDown will be taped on Monday, November 2, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The venue will also host that night’s episode of RAW, with SmackDown being recorded for broadcast later in the week.
This is being done to give talent and crew time to travel to Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel PLE. General Manager Nick Aldis already booked a mega match for the night.

CM Punk vs Kevin Owens will settle the score in Brooklyn

The rivalry between Punk and Owens has intensified over the past few months, with both men blaming each other for their failure to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship. GM Nick Aldis has now allowed them to settle their differences without the usual restrictions of a singles match.
The announcement was made during a sit-down segment involving both superstars and Aldis. Their rivalry dates back several months, with tensions escalating after Owens inadvertently cost Punk the Undisputed Championship during his title defence against Sami Zayn in Mexico City. Punk subsequently retaliated by costing Owens his championship opportunity.
Both men have since been involved in a series of confrontations, including the Money in the Bank ladder match, where Owens prevented Punk from grabbing the briefcase. The No Holds Barred stipulation, added on the October 30 episode, now gives them the freedom to use weapons and take the fight beyond the usual rules.
Rumours have also circulated about Owens’ reported reluctance to travel to Riyadh for Crown Jewel. Former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman claimed that Owens was among the names unhappy with the Saudi Arabia trip.
While many see this as a reason the match missed a PLE spot, neither Owens nor the authorities have confirmed that they booked the November 6 match because of his reported concerns.
Apart from the match, there are several wrestlers like Raw champions Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan, with John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and Oba Femi included as featured superstars for the night. As usual, the next week’s edition will serve as the go-home show for Crown Jewel and will feature the final face-offs before the PLE.
