WWE SmackDown (October 23, 2026) – Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley's first title defense; Giulia vs Blake Monroe Street Fight & more set for next week

The MITB fallout show of SmackDown concluded in Sacramento.

Addressing the developments from Money in the Bank PLE, the October 16 edition of SmackDown also continued the ongoing storylines with grudge matches and more. After weeks of war of words and sneak attacks, R-Truth and Damian Priest battled in a grudge match.

However, Truth suffered an injury while landing the missile dropkick from the ropes, and the match was called off by the referee. On the other hand, Paige defeated Nikki Bella to secure her first win in the feud, while Ricky Saints was disqualified from the title match against Rey Fenix after cheating directly in front of the referee, Charles Robinson.

Cody Rhodes called out Randy Orton in the closing moments of the show, but Baron Corbin came out, leading to a match where Orton attacked Rhodes. The segment ended with Rhodes punting Corbin, proving that he can turn to the dark side if need be.

Giulia & Blake Monroe will collide in a Street Fight

WWE also announced multiple matches for the next week’s show of the Blue brand. Giulia and Blake Monroe will meet for the second time inside the squared circle next week. However, this time the two will collide in a Street Fight.

On the other hand, after attacking Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill’s Baddies, Michin and B-Fab, have secured a tag title shot against Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley. The reigning champions will defend the Women’s Tag Team titles for the first time next week.

Also announced for the show is a tag team match between The MFT (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) and Bakusai (Shinsuke Nakamura & Kyoki). MFT’s WWE Tag Team titles will not be on the line for this matchup.

WWE on their website is also advertising a Tag Team match, where LA Knight and Solo Sikoa will team up to take on the World Tag Team Champs, Austin Theory and Bron Breakker of the Vision; this will likely be a dark match.

The October 23 edition of WWE SmackDown will air live from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Gunther, and Trick Williams are listed as featured superstars for the show.
