The September 19 episode of SmackDown aired live from Toledo, Ohio.

Ahead of the Wrestlepalooza PLE, the promotion delivered the go-home show of Friday Night SmackDown, which featured the final face-offs ahead of Saturday. The September 19 episode of SmackDown aired live from the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Brock Lesnar attacked Michael Cole and took out Corey Graves with an F5 to kick off the show. He then came face-to-face with Paul Heyman backstage and stated that they should talk.

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defeated Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles in the first match of the show. On the other hand, The Vision (Jimmy & Jey Uso) defeated Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom), and The Usos sent a message from Indianapolis.

Sami Zayn defeated Carmelo Hayes to retain the United States title in the final match of the show. In the final moments of the show, Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre signed the contract to make the Wrestlepalooza main event official.

However, McIntyre attacked Rhodes after the segment, hitting Cody with a Claymore, followed by a vicious stomp on the floor to end the show. Nick Aldis also confirmed during the segment that the Undisputed title clash between Rhodes and McIntyre will headline the PLE tomorrow.

During the Wrestlepalooza go-home show, Nia Jax cut a segment mocking Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill. Stratton then appeared and cut her own promo before walking towards the ring to confront Jax. Security rushed in to stop her as Jade Cargill darted in, but was also stopped in her tracks by security.

General Manager Nick Aldis appeared, announcing that Stratton would defend the title next week on SmackDown in a triple-threat match against Jax and Cargill.

Furthermore, as teased by Michin in a backstage segment, she and B-Fab will likely team up to battle Giulia and Kiana James in a tag team match. However, WWE has not announced the match.

The September 26 episode of WWE SmackDown is set to air live from the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. The show will feature the aftermath of the Wrestlepalooza PLE.
