Andrade vs Carmelo Hayes (Part VII: Series Tied 3-3)
The historic series between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes will eventually come to an end this week on SmackDown. As Nick Aldis said on last week’s broadcast, the two will face off one last time to bring this series to a close. However, there’s more at risk.
Whoever wins the seventh match will be proclaimed the number-one challenger for the United States Championship, currently held by LA Knight. Hayes and Andrade have been fighting for months, attempting to destroy one other to see who is the better contender.
Los Garza vs ???
Nick Aldis was on a run last week, even not stopping after the number one contender’s bout for the U.S. Championship announcement.
Angel and Berto made it clear that they believe they deserve a crack at the WWE Tag Team Championship.
While not denying them a championship possibility, Aldis claimed that if they beat a team he hand-picked for next week, they would be one step closer to a title bout.
Shortly after that announcement, a video package ran naming the faction “MCMG,” which indicated the identity of the team. But, it is still not confirmed whether they will face them or not.
MCMG to make their WWE debut
“Coming soon” has transformed become “this week,” with the Machine City Motor Guns set to make their WWE debut on the upcoming October 18 edition of “WWE SmackDown.”
Shelley and Sabin are no strangers to gold; the Motor City Machine Guns have held tag team championships in several firms, including NJPW, Deadlock Pro Wrestling, IGWP, Ring of Honor, and, most memorably, Impact/TNA.
The Guns’ contracts with TNA expired in April 2024, and by September 2024, stories of Shelley and Sabin’s pact with WWE had entered the wrestling news cycle. The Guns were originally supposed to be moving to “WWE NXT,” but will now call the blue brand home.
Roman Reigns set to appear
“The Big Dog” is sticking around to make sure everyone understands WWE Friday Night SmackDown is still his yard.
Roman Reigns returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2024, and he will face Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa at WWE Bad Blood on October 5. Beyond that, Roman Reigns has been confirmed for six WWE SmackDown programs on the USA Network in October and November 2024.
Randy Orton set to appear
Randy Orton is also set to make his appearance on WWE SmackDown this week. After what happened last week, Randy Orton would be looking to get an answer from Kevin Owens this week. It would be an interesting episode to watch this week.
Now, the important thing to watch out for would be Randy Orton made his remark about Kevin Owens during a video that went viral on social media during his WWE UK tour and he asks Kevin Owens to look after his back now.
Kevin Owens saga continues
Even though it is not confirmed whether Kevin Owens will appear on WWE SmackDown or not, Kevin Owens has been making his mark on social media, by continuously trying to make his moves.
On his social media, Kevin Owens has asked WWE to play a video package he has sent to them, or else he will be leaving the company. It would be interesting to see what WWE does now.
