The Blue brand will move to a three-hour format from January 03
The first episode of Friday Night SmackDown in 2025 will be aired live from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The 01/03 episode will be a three-hour show, marking the Blue brand’s transition to a three-hour format, with this upcoming episode being the first of its kind.
The Stamford-based promotion will kick off the year with the electrifying show of Friday Night SmackDown which will be followed by the highly anticipated debut of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.
Multiple top stars are advertised for the show including Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax, LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, Kevin Owens, and more. Let us take a look at the preview of the first show of the Blue brand in 2025.

- Nia Jax vs Naomi – WWE Women’s Championship
- United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs Andrade – Non-title match
Nia Jax vs Naomi – WWE Women’s Championship
WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax is scheduled to defend her title against one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champion Noami on the 01/03 episode. Naomi has recently replaced Jade Cargill, who is out due to injury, and has joined Bianca Belair as the other half of the tag team champions.
On the other hand, Jax is in a constant rift with her friend and MITB winner Tiffany Stratton who is always contemplating cashing in her contract against Jax. Jax teamed up with Candice LeRae to battle Naomi and Bianca for the tag title on last week’s show, Naomi and Belair successfully defended the tag titles.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Andrade
United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura will lock horns with Andrade in a non-title match in the first episode of 2025. The match was announced during the past week’s show where Andrade appeared in a video package challenging the champion.
Andrade warned Nakamura and declared that he wasn’t afraid of the champion’s mind games. He stated that he would expose Nakamura when the two clashed inside the ring.

- In the United States, Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico the show can be watched live at 8 PM ET, 7 PM CT & 4 PM ET every Friday on the USA Network.
- In Canada, the show will be aired live every Friday Live at 8 PM ET on Sportsnet 360.
- In the United Kingdom & Ireland, the show will be live at 1 AM every Saturday on TNT Sports.
- In India, the show will be live at 6:30 AM IST every Saturday across Sony Sports Network (Sony Liv, Sony Ten 1, Sony Ten 1 HD, Sony Ten 3, Sony Ten 4, Sony Ten 4 HD).
- In Saudi Arabia, the show will be live at 4 AM every Saturday on Shahid.
- In Australia, the show will be live at 12 PM AEDT every Saturday on Fox8.
- In France, the show will be live at 2 AM CET every Saturday on the WWE Network.
