John Cena and CM Punk to appear ahead of his title defense at Night of Champions
Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena will make an appearance on this week’s SmackDown, ahead of his title defense against CM Punk at Night of Champions. Last week, Cena delivered an iconic promo, reminiscent of Punk’s iconic pipebomb promo. It will be interesting to see how the segment on the go-home show unravels.
CM Punk will also appear on the show as confirmed by Michael Cole on the Night of Champions kickoff show.
Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Nia Jax – Last Woman Standing match for the WWE Women’s title

Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton will put the title on the line against Nia Jax once again, this time in a last woman standing match. The feud between the two stars reignited when Jax attacked Stratton following her return.
However, the match was announced last week, following Jax’s beatdown of Stratton, where Naomi tried to capitalize and cash in the Money in the Bank contract. Jax stopped Naomi from cashing in and is now looking to capture the title again.
Street Profits (c) vs The Wyatt Sicks – WWE Tag Team titles
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) are set to defend the WWE Tag Team titles against The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis). The Wyatt Sicks have been terrorizing the whole tag team division and crushed the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) when they tried to fight back.
With the win against the former tag champs, Wyatt Sicks are now set to battle the Champions, with the title on the line in Riyadh.
Zelina Vega (c) vs Giulia – Women’s United States title match
In the third announced title clash on the show, Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega will put the title on the line against Giulia. The former NXT Women’s Champion put Vega on notice before attacking the Champion, kicking off their feud.
Giulia is determined to prove that the U.S. Title doesn’t belong to Vega. In response, the champion, while calling out Giulia for her sneak attack, declared that Giulia would have to pry the title from her dead body, as that’s the only way she’ll ever win it.
