This week’s episode of SmackDown will serve as the go-home show for SNME!

The second edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event in 2025 is just around the corner, the May 24 edition of the show is set to air from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. However, ahead of the event, WWE is gearing up to deliver the go-home show of Friday Night SmackDown.

The go-home show of Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the EnMarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. The episode will also continue to build towards the Money in the Bank 2025 while stars set to clash at Saturday Night’s Main Event will meet for the final time in Georgia.

The promotion has announced multiple matches for the May 23 episode of SmackDown. Down below is a detailed preview, match card, timings, and telecast details for the 05/23 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Matches confirmed for 05/23 WWE SmackDown

  • Aleister Black vs LA Knight vs Shinsuke Nakamura – Men’s MITB Qualifiers
  • Giulia vs Charlotte Flair vs Zelina Vega – Women’s MITB Qualifiers
  • Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (c) vs Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) – WWE Tag Team Championship match

Aleister Black vs LA Knight vs Shinsuke Nakamura – Men’s MITB Qualifiers

Similar to last week’s show, the promotion will deliver another qualifying match for the Money in the Bank ladder match. LA Knight, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Aleister Black are set to collide in a triple-threat match.

The winner of the triple-threat match will join Solo Siko, who qualified last week after defeating Jimmy Uso and Rey Fenix.

Giulia vs Charlotte Flair vs Zelina Vega – Women’s MITB Qualifiers

In the second MITB Qualifying match of the show and the fourth qualifying match for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match overall, Giulia, Charlotte Flair, and Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega will battle in a triple-threat match.

The winner of this clash would join Alexa Bliss, Roxanne Perez, and Rhea Ripley, all of whom have qualified for the ladder match.

Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (c) vs Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) – WWE Tag Team Championship match

After their electrifying debut, former NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) not only defeated former tag title contenders but also picked up a win over the current WWE Tag Team Champion Street Profits, albeit the tag champs were not at their 100% due to the injury they took in a TLC match earlier.

However, last week, the former NXT Tag Champs proved that the consecutive wins are no fluke as they defeated the former WWE Tag Team Champions #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa), the team that Street Profits defeated to win gold. Impressed by the performance and welcoming the challenge, the tag champions are now set to defend the title against Fraxiom this week.
