WWE SmackDown Results, Highlights & Winners (July 12, 2024): The Bloodline assaults Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton

MITB cash-in teased, #DIY retains, LA Knight got US title match contract, Bloodline assaults Rhodes, Orton & much more!!!
The July 12, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown is officially over and it is the Money in the Bank fall-out show. WWE has showcased some of the interesting matches and segments for the show, beginning the storylines and bookings for the upcoming SummerSlam PLE. Get to know what happened this week on SmackDown, as we came out with the complete summary, hightlights, results & winner’s list.
WWE SmackDown Summary & Hightlights
Tiffy Time⌚
Tiffany Stratton kicks-off Friday Night SmackDown to address her Money in the Bank win and becoming the yougest MITB winner. She warned all the champions in WWE, that no one is safe. Bayley interrupted TIffany and advised her not to cash-in on her, as she would make history by becoming the first woman being unsuccessful in her cash-in.
Nia Jax interrupted Bayley asking why Bayley is worried about TIffany, as she gonna defeat Bayley at SummerSlam to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. Bayley told Nia that she is not the Hugger Bayley, she faced in the past, she is now a champ and a role model.
Jax mocked Bayley, but Bayley spiced up things asking will Tiffany cash-in on Jax, if she become the WWE Women’s Champion? Nia Jax cut her-off saying that Bayley will fall victim to Jax and pushed her. Bayley tried to attack Jax, but the numbers game took her out, until Michin with the Kendo Stick came for the save.
Backstage
Piper Niven & Chelsea Green are interviewed backstage. Green asks if they seen what ahe gone through at MITB and waited to hear from Nick Aldis.
Nia Jax vs Michin
The match began with Nia Jax taking complete control of Michin tossing her across the ring and delivering splashes on the corner and in the middle of the ring. Michin gave her a fight back during the second half of the match with a series of offense delivering drop kick, cannon ball and kicks.
Jax tossed Michin from the top rope. While looking for a senton Michin escaped. TIffany tried to distract referee, but Bayley took her down. Michin delivered a Tornado DDT on Jax, but not enough. Jax fought back and delivered a Samoan Drop & Annihilator and picked up the win.
After the match, Bayley tried to attack Jax, but Tiffany stopped her. Jax and Stratton took Bayley down. TIffany teased of cashing in, but Jax stopped her.
The Bloodline
Solo Sikoa on a video vignette cut a promo promised that he will take The Bloodline to a new level, which Roman Reigns’ failed to do. He claims that everyone will acknowledge him after tonight.
Interview
Andrade was asked about what’s next for him? While Andrade tried to address, Carmelo Hayes interrupted him to claim, Andrade took him away from winning the MITB briefcase. Hayes said that everyone forgot who he is and demanded respect. Andrade then said that Hayes will be his next, and they will face each other next week.
Apollo Crews & Baron Corbin vs Angel & Berto
Before Angel & Berto make their way to the ring, Apollo jumped over them. He took Berto to the ring and the match began with Corbin and Berto being the official men. Apollo & Baron took their opponents in full control of the initial part of the match, by sending them out and Corbing jumping over them.
After the commercial, the table turned upside down as Berto took control of Corbin with a stretch and a springboard kick to the face. Corbin fought back with a Deathvalley Driver. Apollo and Angel tagged in and Apollo took control of Angel with a series of suplex, splash in the corner and a crossbody from the top rope.
Corbin took Berto out of the equation to the time keeper’s area. Inside the ring, Crews hit a Step up enzigiri and a Gorilla Press Slam. The referee got distracted and Escobar striked Crews with the knee. This made Angel to hit thw Wing Clipper for the win.
Backstage
Chelsea waited outside of Aldis room with Pretty Deadly, but Chelsea asked them to stand on the back of the line. LA Knight came out of his room with a contract and marched his way to the ring, clearing Green’s doubt.
Backstage- Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton
Cody Rhodes was sat backstage alone with the title, and Orton sat near him. Orton said that he always got Cody’s back, same way does Owens, but he was not there. They wanted to end things with Bloodline soon, but they don’t know how many of the Samoans are still in the locker room. Orton said that a lot of men are coming for the title, but he will have his back.
LA Knight got the contract📝
LA Knight addressed his loss at Money in the Bank, but claims that he doesn’t need MITB to become the champion. He recalls what happened on the road to Money in the Bank. He pinned Logan Paul, the United States Champion and thus got a contract for the US title. He signed the contract and called out Logan Paul to sign in. But Logan was not there. However Knight promised that he will ensure that he will make the contract signed by Logan Paul soon.
Blair Davenport vs Naomi
Davenport with a shoulder tackle took down Naomi. But Naomi struck back with a counter manuever. Naomi with a head lock, drop kick to the corner and splitted leg drop takes brief control. Davenport targeted the injured shoulder, stompin on it and sending her shoulder to the ring post.
Back in the ring, Davenport extends Naomi’s bad shoulder. Naomi fought back with an arm drag, step up enzigiri and driving Blair’s face to the mat. Davenport fought back stomping Naomi. Both look for a rolldown pinfall. Naomi with her finisher and rolled her for the pin. Naomi secured the win.
Backstage
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill met Naomi and they are happy for Naomi’s win. She asked Belair and Cargill to take their titles back soon. The duo said that they came for that, but Aldis is not here, Green, Niven and Pretty Deadly in the back heard that and were upset about it. Bianca & Jade walked away and Blair Davenport met Naomi & shook hands with her following their match. But Davenport attacked her from the back to continue their feud.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match- #DIY (C) vs A-Town Down Under
Ciampa and Waller started the match and Ciampa had the initial control. DIY with a double team sent Waller and Theory out of the ring. Gargano went for a suicide dive, but Theory took him down with a forearm strike. Waller delivered a Tornado DDT on Ciampa on the apron. With that the challengers took control of the match.
Back in the ring, Waller tried for a corner splash and Ciampa escapes. Waller tagged Theory in and Ciampa took him with a knee strike. Gargano tagged in and he took both their opponents in control with series of strikes, DDT & Flatliner combo and the springboard spear to Theory.
Ciampa tagged in and they tried to work as a unit, but Waller took Gargano out. Ciampa rolled Theory, but Waller delivered a Rolling Flatliner. Gargano and Theory looked for a Meeting in the Middle, but Ciampa escaped. Waller with a knee strike accidentally took Theory out. Gargano and Ciampa delivered a Shatter Machine and Waller and retained their title.
The Bloodline☝️assaults Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton
After the match, Jacob Fatu took Austin Theory, Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa, but Waller escaped in the crowd. Fatu cleared the ring single handedly for the arrival of the ‘New Tribal Chief ‘ Solo Sikoa.
Solo Sikoa with the members of The Bloodline came to the ring. Solo asked for Acknowledgment from the WWE Univers and reminded them about what happened to Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman, when they failed to acknowledge him as the Tribal Chief. WWE Universe chants Roman Reigns’ name and Solo said that when Rom Reigns is back, he will acknowledge Solo as his tribal chief. But tonight, he want acknowledgment from Cody Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes came tot he ring and said that he have heard everything that Solo said and claimed that both wanted the same. Cody offered Solo Sikoa a title shot for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam. But Cody said that he doesn’t wanted to wait until SummerSlam, as he wants Solo tonight. The Bloodline surrounded Cody and they attacked him.
Randy Orton came for the save, but the number games took them out. The Tongans took Orton out of the ring to bang his mid section with the steal chair. On the other hand, Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu locked Cody’s hands between the ropes. Fatu then super kicked Orton thrice and with the help of Tongans delivered a powerbomb on Orton, breaking the announcement table. Solo Sikoa Samoan Spiked Cody in the throat. The Bloodline stood tall, raising the ones and SmackDown came to an end.
SmackDown Results
- Nia Jax defeated Michin by pinfall. After the match Nia Jax and Tiffany attacked Bayley.
- Angel & Berto defeated apollo Crews & Baron Corbin.
- Naomi defeated Blair Davenport by pinfall.
