WWE SmackDown Summary and Highlights
Jey Uso taken out before the Elimination Chamber
SmackDown opened with a chaotic backstage scene, as Jey Uso was being loaded into an ambulance after being attacked prior to the show. Cody Rhodes asked what was going on, while General Manager Nick Aldis admitted he was just as confused. Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans began arguing nearby as tensions quickly escalated.
Drew McIntyre then appeared from the crowd in the ring, claiming he had nothing to do with the attack on Jey. He referred to himself as the “outlaw champion,” before the screen briefly went dark. When it came back on, Aldis appeared and reminded Drew that he had warned him not to cause any issues before Elimination Chamber. Aldis called McIntyre to his office, stating that there were 20 men who wanted to tear him apart.
McIntyre continued speaking until Cody Rhodes’ music hit. Rhodes called for a fight right then and there, but McIntyre exited the ring, saying it would not benefit him since he was already the Champion. Drew claimed he followed the rules, unlike Cody, and said he was leaving. Rhodes fired back, saying Drew’s title reign had consisted of him running like a “little b*tch.”
Randy Orton’s then appeared, stating what happened to Jey Uso was unfortunate, but his sole focus was winning the Chamber the next night and heading to WrestleMania to become a 15-time World Champion. Orton entered the ring to address Cody, but Trick Williams’ interrupted him. Williams hyped himself up, saying he was looking at the ring and thinking about adding himself to the mix.
Je’Von Evans then appeared, slapped Williams on the forehead, and stepped into the ring. Evans declared he was going to win the Chamber and become the youngest World Champion, breaking Orton’s record. LA Knight soon followed, saying he heard a lot of big promises, but in the end, they all belonged to the man they call The Megastar. Knight took aim at McIntyre, claiming the title belonged to him.
Williams interrupted Knight, who responded with a right hand, leading to a brawl between the two at ringside that spilled backstage. Meanwhile, out of nowhere, Orton struck Evans with an RKO. He then came face-to-face with Cody as loud “RKO” chants echoed throughout the arena. Orton eventually left the ring while Cody looked on, and commentary continued to discuss the earlier attack on Jey Uso.

Stratton responded by saying she was ready and challenged Asuka to prove that Tiffy Time was over tonight.
Uncle Howdy vs Solo Sikoa
In the first match of the show, Uncle Howdy and Solo Sikoa locked horns in a singles match, without their family by their side. The singles affair ended in Howdy pinning Solo after hitting the Sister Abigail DDT. However, he was unable to take the lantern back as Talla Tonga took him out and stole the lantern again. The MFTs retreated as the Wyatt Sicks rushed in to backup Howdy.

Shortly after, The Vision arrived, and Paul Heyman floated the idea of Logan Paul filling the empty spot with Jey Uso sidelined and unable to compete in the Chamber. Aldis pointed out the suspicious timing, noting that Jey Uso had just been brutally attacked and hospitalized, only for The Vision to show up moments later. Austin Theory took offense to the implication, but Heyman calmed him. Aldis emphasized that there were political considerations involved and that he needed to make several calls before making a decision.
- Cathy Kelley spoke with Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky backstage. Ripley admitted that while her attention should have been on winning the Elimination Chamber, her immediate priority was successfully defending the tag team titles. Sky expressed full confidence that Ripley would go on to win the Chamber regardless. Jade Cargill approached and warned Ripley that she should be careful not to get injured while defending the tag titles.

As soon as the bell rang, The Miz quickly exited the ring, grabbing a microphone and insisting that the two didn’t need to fight. Oba Femi then grabbed a mic as Miz stepped back in, bringing another mic of his own. Miz called it a classic misunderstanding and, as the locker room leader who replaced John Cena, suggested they turn it into a teaching moment.
Miz explained that he wanted to take Femi under his wing and guide him, claiming he wanted to be Femi’s Undertaker. Femi asked if he really meant it, noting that while Miz didn’t bear a striking resemblance, he did look like a “Deadman” to him.
Miz continued to persuade Oba, promising great things, while Femi sought a third-party opinion from the fans, who responded with boos. Femi then declared that Miz was “dying tonight.” Miz insisted he was only there to teach Oba a lesson, be the bigger man, and walk away.
