The Night of Champions fallout show of Friday Night SmackDown concluded on July 3 at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. While addressing the developments from the PLE, the show continued the build towards SummerSlam and, more importantly, SNME at MSG, which emanates on July 18.
Multiple big names, including Cody Rhodes, Charlotte Flair, Tiffany Stratton, Rey Fenix, Jey Uso, El Hijo Del Vikingo, Jade Cargill, and B-Fab, among others, competed on the show, which saw a former Champion secure a title rematch and two vicious attacks, setting the stage for new feuds.

- The newly crowned Undisputed Champion Sami Zayn kicked off the broadcast, celebrating the title win. Zayn said he would forever be remembered as a WrestleMania main eventer, a Grand Slam Champion, and a WWE Champion. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso interrupted the segment, and both congratulated Sami and asked for a title shot.
- Cody noted that Jey is running errands for Roman Reigns, while Sami was against the idea of giving both of them a chance. Enter GM Adam Pearce, who noted that GM Nick Aldis is suspended and he is the acting GM, and announced a number one contender’s bout between Jey and Cody. The winner will face Sami for the title next week on Raw.
- The Baddies (Jade Cargill, Michin & B-Fab) defeated Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, & Tiffany Stratton
- Backstage before the match, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss had a short argument about Flair’s appearance at Night of Champions, which Bliss was unawre about, while Chelsea and Tiffany spoked about defeating Jade and Co.
- Backstage, Sami Zayn complained to Adam Pearce about defending the title on Raw, but Pearce said that he’ll invite people from SmackDown to make it a supershow. Zayn then found Johnny Gargano and informed him of his title win.
- Rey Fenix (c) defeated El Hijo del Vikingo to retain the AAA Cruiserweight Championship.
- Backstage, Blake Monroe attacked both Giulia and Kiana James.
- Backstage, Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu were looking for Solo Sikoa when Royce Keys approached them. Keys mocked Fatu by claiming he was carrying out Roman Reigns’ orders, and Jimmy then asked if Keys had seen Solo Sikoa, explaining that they were looking for him over family business. Keys responded that blood did not make a family; loyalty did, but Big Jim disagreed.
- Carmelo Hayes interrupted Trick Williams’ promo as Lila Yachty announced a non-title match between the two for next week. Williams took down Hayes with a backhanded slap, while Hayes responded with a dive when Trick and Yachty were leaving.
- Matt Cardona approached Danhausen in his lab. Danhausen revealed that he will be taking on JD McDonagh at the July 18 edition of SNME at MSG. Cardona offered him some backup, but Danhausen said he had his backup in New York and he’ll talk to him next week.
- Lainey Reid defeated Brie Bella after a ringside distraction by the rest of Fatal Influence, who attacked Paige.
- Backstage, R-Truth defeated Nathan Frazer in a hot dog eating contest. The War Raider interrupted, demanding an answer for their title vs title challenge. Priest said Nick Aldis was not there to make it official, so he could not confirm when the match would happen, but confirmed that they’re willing to put title against title on the line in a match on SmackDown.
- Backstage, Finn Balor approached Cody Rhodes and revealed he came to SmackDown to face him for the title and asked Cody to get the title back.
- Tama Tonga then approached Balor, stating that he had gone to the elders for guidance about what to do next. Balor asked what that had to do with him when Talla Tonga attacked him from behind. Tama said he’s closing the books on everything from his past, and Finn is next.
- Cody Rhodes defeated Jey Uso to become the number one contender for the Undisputed title. He will face Sami Zayn in a rematch with the title on the line next week on Raw.
