WWE SmackDown (September 11, 2026) - Preview, start time & where to watch

SmackDown this Friday will emanate from Mexico City.

For the first time in 15 years, WWE will return to Mexico with its weekly shows during TripleMania 34 weekend. WWE will deliver the upcoming editions of SmackDown and Raw live from Mexico City on September 11and September 14, respectively.

The upcoming September 11 edition of Friday Night SmackDown will emanate live from the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The same venue will also host Night 2 of TripleMania as well as the September 14 edition of Raw.

CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Gunther, and Trick Williams are listed as featured superstars for the show. WWE has also announced a stacked card for the historic show featuring multiple title matches. Additionally, the show will also feature the aftermath from Sunday Night’s Main Event.

• CM Punk (c) vs Sami Zayn – Undisputed WWE Championship match
• Chelsea Green (c) vs Nia Jax – WWE Women’s Title match
• Rey Fenix (c) vs Ricky Saints – AAA World Cruiserweight Title match
• War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (c) vs Damian Priest & R-Truth – Tag Team match for the AAA Tag Team Titles
• Nikki Bella vs Paige

CM Punk (c) vs Sami Zayn – Undisputed WWE Championship match

After another attack by Sami Zayn last week, an irate Undisputed Champion CM Punk made the title match official, vowing to put Sami to sleep.

This will be the rematch from their first meeting on 6 July Raw, where CM Punk returned for the first time since WrestleMania 42 and replaced Cody after the latter failed to get medical clearance following an attack by Gunther. Punk defeated Zayn, ending his title reign at just 9 days.

Chelsea Green (c) vs Nia Jax – WWE Women’s Title match

On the other hand, Nia Jax has been determined to get a title shot against Chelsea Green, despite the WWE Women’s Champion dealing with a broken orbital bone.

Nia, along with Lash Legend, has been playing mind games with the Champion, who received medical clearance and is now set for her first title defense against the former Champion in Mexico City.

Furthermore, Rey Fenix will defend his AAA World Cruiserweight Title against Ricky Saints, while War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) will defend the AAA World Tag Team titles against Damian Priest & R-Truth.

Additionally, Nikki Bella and Paige will settle their dispute inside the squared circle. The match was set up after Bella returned for the first time since SummerSlam to attack Paige, and after a heated confrontation, the two are now set for battle.
