Hello everyone, and welcome to Khel Now’s SPOILERS and RESULTS of the August 28, 2026 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The action was pre-taped at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada! I’m your host, Abhijit, and here are the complete spoilers for all the results and biggest moments from the show.
Last week’s August 21 edition of WWE SmackDown from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, delivered a massive sold-out show, featuring title matches and debuts. Speaking of debuts, Blake Monroe attacked Giulia before their scheduled match and called out Chelsea Green.
The match never happened, and Monroe made it clear that she will make her in-ring debut against the Champion. On the other hand, Baron Corbin challenged Lil Yachty at SNME, noting that if Yachty lasts 5 minutes with him, Trick Williams will get a US title rematch.
Yachty accepted, making another match official for SNME next month. Furthermore, after multiple teases, Kyoki (fka Hiromu Takahashi) debuted via video package alongside Shinsuke Nakamura. The main event saw Sami Zayn initially trying to help Kevin Owens defeat CM Punk and win the Undisputed title.
However, when KO refused to use dirty tactics, Sami instead betrayed Owens, which helped Punk pick up the win. Zayn launched a brutal post-match attack on both men to close out the show.
The pre-taping picked up right from last week, featuring segments and matches to continue the build towards SNME, featuring appearances from CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Blake Monroe, Tatum Paxley, Chelsea Green, Cody Rhodes, and Randy Orton, among others.
Why did WWE pre-tape SmackDown after Raw in Ottawa?
The schedule change was made to give the roster and crew some much-needed downtime following a hectic summer schedule, especially with the upcoming international tours, including the South American tour, on the horizon.
When and where will the upcoming SNME take place?
The upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be WWE’s first-ever Sunday Night’s Main Event.
When and where will Money in the Bank 2026 take place?
The 2026 edition of Money in the Bank is set for October 10, 2026, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
