The July 4 episode of SmackDown was pre-taped at the PPG Arena!

In the aftermath of Night of Champions 2025, WWE delivered the fallout show of Monday Night Raw from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show had a special early start time of 6 PM ET/3 PM PT, two hours earlier than the usual start time.

This was done as the promotion was set to pre-tape the July 4 fallout show of Friday Night SmackDown from the same venue after Raw went off air. Let us now take a look at the SPOILERS, courtesy of X (Twitter) user John Clark, for the July 4 episode of SmackDown, which will feature the aftermath from the Night of Champions PLE.

  • Backstage segment with Damian Priest and Aleister Black. Priest tries to explain R-Truth’s side of things and says there will be a match made next week between Truth and Black. Tensions start to boil over between Priest and Aleister.
  • Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso defeat Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo. Fatu pins Solo in a clean match with no interference.
  • After the match, Fatu tries to put Solo through the announce table, but Hikuleo steps in to stop him, with Tonga Loa also joining the fray. Solo and his group then take control, finishing the segment with a Shield-style Triple Powerbomb through the announce desk to close the show.
  • Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso come out to assist Fatu, sending the Pittsburgh crowd home happy with a moment of celebration. This wasn’t likely part of the official SmackDown recording and might have been a special segment just for the fans in the arena after the show ended.
