WWE SmackDown comes this week to Greenville, South Carolina
This week’s WWE SmackDown represents another reset in the WWE landscape. It is the first Blue brand show since the events of WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta, Georgia.
It will be a fascinating show, to say the least, with The Rock and Jimmy Uso making their grand returns and Kevin Owens turning his back on Cody Rhodes.
While the specifics of this edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown remain unknown, one thing is certain: it will be an episode not to be missed. With that in mind, let’s get into the current episode of SmackDown.
The second episode of WWE NXT on The CW saw WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair teaming up with Kelani Jordan to defeat Fatal Influence. If the night had ended there, everyone would have been satisfied. But it didn’t.
On this week’s SmackDown, young upstarts Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson instantly came up to challenge Cargill and Belair for the belts. As predicted, the champs refused to back down and instantly accepted the challenge.
WWE Bad Blood was a memorable event, including surprise returns and spectacular wrestling battles. In the main event, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes defeated The Bloodline in a dramatic manner, with aid from a returning Jimmy Uso. Admittedly, the whole WWE Universe assumed that the show in Atlanta was over.
Until the music began and “The Final Boss” appeared, The Rock also returned. While we don’t know why Rocky returned to WWE, it appears that Roman Reigns still has a lot to say, which he will do live on WWE SmackDown.
