WWE is shaking things up ahead of Raw’s Netflix debut

The 12/06 episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During the show, the term “Transfer Window” was mentioned several times, leaving fans puzzled about its meaning and impact on the roster.

Two stars from the Red brand appeared during the Friday Night episode, as the promotion referred to the transfer window.

Michael Cole from the commentary booth shared details on the transfer window, revealing that all three brands are collaborating to revamp the Raw, SmackDown, and NXT rosters. He emphasized that the upcoming transfer would significantly shake things up “in a major way” ahead of the Red brand‘s move to Netflix.

Ahead of the proposed transfer window, let us take a look at five potential stars from the SmackDown brand that can move to the Red brand.

5. Bianca Belair

One-half of the Women’s Tag Champion, Bianca Belair currently competes on the Blue brand but she will probably be shifted to the Red brand during the transfer window.

Belair’s tag partner Jade Cargill was brutally injured last month before Survivor Series and is out of action. Bianca is one of the biggest stars in the women’s locker room which is why it makes sense for the promotion to strip her of the tag titles and shift her to the Red brand ahead of its Netflix debut next month.

Belair already has a history with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, she can be put in the title picture upon her arrival. Bianca not only has immense popularity but also shines under the spotlight and the Women’s World title or the WWE Women’s title would only add to her stardom.

4. LA Knight

The former United States Champion, LA Knight recently lost his US title at the hands of Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series PLE. Knight demanded a rematch on this week’s episode of the Blue brand but was interrupted by Andrade before Solo Sikoa‘s Bloodline brutally assaulted the two.

Knight is also one of the top stars on SmackDown and his move to the Red brand would add to the scale of the Red brand’s debut on the streaming giant.

The promotion could also push him into the Intercontinental title picture which is currently being helped by Bron Breakker. A potential matchup between Knight and Breakker would be a classic battle between two rising stars.

3. Nia Jax

The promotion could also move Women’s Champion Nia Jax to the Red brand during the transfer window. Jax’s move would provide fresh opportunities for her among the stacked division of the Red brand.

Jax can also start a feud with Rhea Ripley who is a dominant force on the Red brand. The two faced each other in the Women’s WarGames match where Rhea‘s team emerged victorious.

By moving Jax to the Red brand the promotion would create opportunities for fresh matchups and storylines involving the Women’s Champion.

2. Cody Rhodes

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is scheduled to face Kevin Owens next week at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He is also slated to appear on the Red brand’s debut on Netflix.

However, the promotion should move The American Nightmare to Raw during the transfer window. This might already be the plans of the Stamford-based promotion as World Heavyweight Champion Gunther appeared on the 12/06 episode of the Blue brand backstage.

The Ring General was talking to General Manager Nick Aldis, if the promotion decides to move him to the Blue brand, it only makes logical sense to shift Rhodes to the Red brand.

1. Roman Reigns

‘The OTC” Roman Reigns recently emerged victorious against Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. Similar to Rhodes, the OTC is also slated for an appearance on the Red brand’s debut on Netflix.

A potential move to the Red brand during the transfer window would provide Reigns fresh opportunities as he will join Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. Reigns could also reignite his rivalry with Seth Rollins, with their deep history and intense animosity providing the perfect formula for compelling television.

The OTC can also be inserted into the title picture on the Red brand or the promotion can start exploring the CM Punk – Paul Heyman angle creating a compelling storyline that is shrouded in mystery.
