WWE could turn top superstars heel on the road to WrestleMania.
WWE is inching closer towards the road to WrestleMania 42 as the new year has dawned upon the world. Moreover, the Stamford-based promotion could give major shockers to build further intrigue and excitement by turning top and unexpected names heel.
So here are the top five WWE superstars who might turn to the dark side on the road to WrestleMania this year.
5. Jey Uso

Jey Uso had teased a heel turn with major signs last year, amid the downfall he had after dropping the World title.
The road to WrestleMania might see him embrace the dark side and turn on his recently reunited brother, Jimmy Uso, blaming him for bringing him down to his level after seeing unprecedented heights of success.
4. Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley has had the WWE Women’s World title out of her sight for a year, and IYO Sky has been a prime reason, whether as a foe or ally.
Mami could wait for the perfect moment to snap and betray her friend to reclaim her dark demeanor and be a monster heel as WWE marches to WrestleMania.
3. LA Knight

Despite his immense popularity and potential, LA Knight has not been able to break through the glass ceiling and become a top-tier WWE superstar.
The years of frustration might finally lead him to leave the good side and turn heel to claim everything he had worked so hard for years.
2. CM Punk

The start of 2026 could see CM Punk drop the World Heavyweight Championship and be outnumbered by The Vision.
Realising that he could not beat the numbers game, Punk could shock the world by realigning with his former best friend, Paul Heyman, and joining the Vision as a heel. This could be a fresh direction for the Best in the World, which would be highly exciting to witness.
1. Randy Orton

Randy Orton made his return to WWE after months of inactivity at the start of 2026. However, The Viper’s resurgence could see him become the strongest version of himself with a heel turn.
The fans have seen the most dangerous side of Orton as a heel in the late 2000s, and it could be a smart move by WWE to bring that back on the road to WrestleMania 42.
Which WWE superstar made his return at the start of 2026?
Randy Orton
