Four superstar’s contracts are set to expire soon
WWE has been keen on hiring and firing talents and has made a lot of changes inside the company. We witnessed several wrestlers being released as free agents and signed some of the hottest free agents from the rival promotions.
It was previously reported that the company has been planning to stop their top stars from entering free agency, by giving them a huge compensation package as a part of their deal & could see several wrestlers resigning their contracts. However, it seems like a number of top stars will enter free agency upon contract expiry. Here are the top four superstars whose contracts are expiring soon.
4. Natalya
Natalya has been with the company since 2007 and is one of the longest-tenured female wrestlers in history. She is a three-time champion in WWE, where she won the WWE Divas Championship once, the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship once and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
She is currently a part of the Raw roster but is seen majorly on the NXT brand. According to Fightful Select, Natttie’s current contract is expected to expire within days.
3. Dijak
Dijak has been in WWE since 2017, he has worked under the name Dominik Dijakovic, T-Bar and Dijak. He has a long history with WWE’s developmental brand NXT and is in the main roster as a part of Retribution.
Dijak after his second run in NXT, was recently called up for his main roster return, however, backstage reports suggest that his contract is set to expire within the next month. With the contract reported to be up, he hasn’t shown up on TV since Draft 2024.
2. Chad Gable
Chad Gable has been in WWE for eleven years and on the main roster for eight years. He is on the boom of his career, with his ongoing heel turn and tensions with Alpha Academy. However, Fightful Select’s latest report reveals that Chad Gable’s WWE Contract is set to expire by June 7, 2024.
With just a week away from expiry, no new deal has been reached between the two sides. The report suggests that the company is interested in re-signing him, however, a number of wrestling and MMA promotions are also interested in him, if he becomes a free agent.
1. Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch is the same currently on a contract which she signed way back in July 2021. Lynch’s current contract is an expensive deal, which made her the highest-paid female superstar of all time. Her three-year deal is all set to expire by June 1, 2024, however, no new contracts have been signed yet.
However, sources within WWE believe that Lynch and WWE will come to terms sooner and will return to Television after a long hiatus. Backstage sources believe that many promotions are interested in signing her for a big money deal.
