WWE stars react to AJ Lee's much-awaited return on SmackDown

The former Divas Champion returned to aid her husband!
After multiple teases, reports, and speculations, former Divas Champion AJ Lee, made her WWE return after ten long years. Lee made her return during the September 5 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which aired live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Similar to her husband CM Punk, Lee made her return after ten years and in the same arena in their hometown, Chicago.
Similar to this week’s Monday Night Raw, CM Punk continued to ask Seth Rollins to face him but instead Becky Lynch continued mocking and slapping him. However, Punk followed on his promise from this Monday and reminded Becky that it’s Chicago and he can call in favor to help him deal with Becky.
Punk then said that he wouldn’t put his hands on a lady, but thankfully, he had someone who would. Lee then appeared amid massive pop from fans, taking down Lynch and delivering the slap to exact revenge on behalf of her husband.
Lee’s return caused a massive frenzy online, with it even somewhat overshadowing Brock Lesnar’s apperance. Let us now take a look at WWE Superstars reacting to her return.
Wrestling world welcomes AJ Lee in style
Several current and former WWE stars took to social media to express their excitement over the return of the former Divas Champion.
‘The Prodigy’ Roxanne Perez, posted a brief tweet referring to Lee as “mommy.” Naomi, currently out of action due to pregnancy, welcomed Lee back with a message telling her to “give ’em hell.”
Former WWE NXT star Cora Jade, now known as Elayna Black, who, like Roxanne Perez, is also close with Punk and Lee, tweeted that “all is right in the world.”
On the other hand, Bayley, who was name-dropped in Punk’s promo, shared a video from the arena capturing the moment AJ Lee made her entrance. Alexa Bliss also reacted to the return with a black heart emoji.
WWE CCO Triple H also welcomed Lee with the now iconic and traditional image in front of the WWE logo in the Gorilla Position. Additionally, Cathy Kelley and Zelina Vega also reacted to her return.

AJ Lee’s final match took place on March 30, 2015, in a six-woman tag team match where she teamed with Naomi and Paige to defeat The Bella Twins and Natalya.
