Some WWE stars can benefit from a major character change.
WWE superstars captivate the audience with their on-screen personas on live television. Over the years, stars evolve their characters to stay relevant with fans.
However, stars often become stale when they don’t give their characters a fresh coat of paint. Looking at the current landscape, here are five WWE stars that desperately need a change in their on-screen characters:
5. Roxanne Perez
Catch Every Update, Anytime, Anywhere
Roxanne Perez began her WWE stint in NXT as a timid young babyface. She took her fame and popularity to the next level with a heel turn and carried it forward upon her main roster call-up.
However, she has been relegated to a sidekick role in Judgment Day and needs a change, much like she did in NXT, to reach greater heights.

4. The Miz
The Miz is one of the most innovative and tenured WWE superstars of all time. Over the years, The Awesome One has evolved his character many times, but has stayed true to his roots.
Now that he is in his veteran stage, The Miz could use another evolution to stay relevant amid a landscape of young, rising stars in the promotion.
3. Giulia
Giulia had a remarkable start as the Beautiful Madness in NXT in 2025. However, ever since she was called up to SmackDown, her run and on-screen character have failed to captivate the audience.
Therefore, to regain her NXT momentum, Giulia needs a character makeover that could work on the main roster.
2. Chelsea Green
Chelsea Green slowly rose to prominence in the promotion. However, her major push came when she became the first-ever United States Champion and adopted a US President-like character, forming her own team, ‘The Secret Her-vice.’
The Hot Mess is now the reigning WWE Women’s Champion and needs a character change similar to her previous persona to get a bigger push and stay popular with fans.
1. Dominik Mysterio
‘Dirty Dom’ Dominik Mysterio reached unprecedented heights after turning on his father, Rey Mysterio, and joining Judgment Day. However, over the last few years, Dominik has shown the same character traits, and fans aren’t as invested anymore, which has reportedly slowed his WWE push.
To reach the next level in the promotion and break into the main event spot, Mysterio needs to make a big change in his character to win the fans back.
