The Visionary might be off television for a long time.

The October 13 episode of  Monday Night RAW from Perth, Australia, ended in chaos as Bron Breakker out of nowhere attacked Seth Rollins. Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman, after initial hesitation, sided with Breakker, effectively kicking Rollins out of the faction.

This was done in the backdrop of reports suggesting that Rollins suffered a shoulder injury during his Crown Jewel title match against Cody Rhodes. The Visionary was subsequently removed from the Japan tour, which took place on 17 and 18 October.

Seth Rollins might not be the current World Heavyweight Champion but he is one of the most active stars on the roster, and as usual, multiple WWE storylines have now been affected due to his absence. Here we take a look at the five storylines that are now thrown into uncertainty following Rollins’ injury.

5. Rematch with CM Punk

In the main event of last week, CM Punk defeated Jey Uso and LA Knight in a triple-threat number contender’s match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Per earlier reports, Rollins and Punk were set to battle once again for the title at the upcoming November 1 edition of SNME.

However, since Rollins has been sidelined due to injury, it remains to be seen how WWE handles this storyline, with Punk still being the number one contender for the title.

4. Austin Theory’s return

Austin Theory has been absent from WWE programming since July. Before Seth Rollins’ injury, reports indicated that Theory was set to be involved in a Rollins vs. Punk clash at Saturday Night’s Main Event, which would then lead to his participation in a WarGames match alongside The Vision.

Once again, amid uncertainty, it’s unclear if Theory would still join forces with Breakker and Reed after Rollins’ exit from the Vision.

3. WarGames match

WWE is set to deliver the final main roster PLE of 2025, Survivor Series, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego, California. Per reports, Rollins, along with the Vision, Brock Lesnar, and Austin Theory taking on CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, and Jey Uso, with a fifth mystery partner still to be determined.

However, this plan has also been affected by the betrayal and Rollins’ exit, leaving fans to look elsewhere for a potential WarGames clash, particularly between Solo Sikoa’s MFT and the Wyatt Six.

2. World Tag Team titles

Despite the odds being against him in the Crown Jewel title clash against Cody Rhodes, Rollins managed to pin Rhodes to register his first win over Rhodes. WWE reportedly had bigger plans for the faction, with Breakker and Reed capturing the World Tag Team titles.

However, with Rollins out of the picture and Breakker is showcasing his intentions to fight for the title. Reed will likely act as his henchman, and if, as rumored, Austin Theory joins the faction, WWE might decide to move forward with putting the Tag Titles on them, potentially creating a dominant force in the division.

1. WrestleMania 42 rematch

During the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania 41, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns battled in a triple-threat match. During the match, Paul Heyman betrayed Reigns and aligned with Rollins, helping him win the match by pinning Reigns.

Since the betrayal, several rumors have suggested another singles match between the two, with some speculating it could take place at WrestleMania 42. However, according to a recent report from Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, the extent of Rollins’ injury will determine whether he will be back before WrestleMania 42.

As of now, there is no clarity or timeline for his return, but it seems that if the injury keeps him on the shelf for Mania, fans might not get to see the two stars battle in the rematch on the 2026 edition of the ‘Grandest Stage.’
