WWE SummerSlam 2024 is WWE’s upcoming & biggest Premium Live Event
The 2024 SummerSlam is the upcoming biggest premium live event hosted by WWE. This is the 37th annual edition of SummerSlam, which is scheduled to be held on August 3, 2024, from the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, United States.
This is the second Big Five event of the company and is expected to be filled with some of the big storylines and feuds. With less than one month away from WWE‘s biggest event of summer, here is the early match card prediction for WWE SummerSlam 2024.
Confirmed Matches
WWE Women’s Championship Match- Bayley (C) vs Nia Jax
Nia Jax won the Queen of the Ring tournament to earn the title shot for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2024. As Bayley is the current champion, she will be defending the title on the line against Nia Jax in a singles match. However, things could change if Tiffany Stratton cashes in her Money in the Contract before the event.
World Heavyweight Championship Match- Damian Priest (C) vs Gunther
Gunther won the 2024 King of the Ring Tournament and earned the title shot for the World Heavyweight Championship. As Priest managed to successfully retain the title, the match between Damian Priest & Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship was confirmed for SummerSlam 2024.
Match Card Prediction
CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre
CM Punk & Drew McIntyre have been carrying their feud for a long time, without a single match due to Punk’s injury. However, he is expected to get cleared to compete before the Summerslam pay-per-view. As that being said, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are expected to settle their grudge inside the ring at the biggest event of summer.
Intercontinental Championship Match- Sami Zayn (C) vs Bron Breakker vs Ilja Dragunov
Sami Zayn recently defended his Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker and retained it clean. However, Bron continued his assault on Sami to continue the feud. As Ilja Dragunov is getting involved in the feud, it might turn into a triple-threat match for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam.
United States Championship Match- Logan Paul (C) vs LA Knight
LA Knight and Logan Paul have been teasing a feud over the United States Championship for months. However, Logan has been hesitating to show up on TV. As SummerSlam is held in Cleveland, Ohio, the hometown of Logan Paul, he is expected to be on the card. As per the current angle, Logan Paul will be defending his title on the line against LA Knight in a singles match.
Women’s World Championship Match- Liv Morgan (C) vs Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley recently made her return after her shoulder injury since WrestleMania 40 weekend. Ripley’s return has reinstated the feud with Liv Morgan & the current angle involves Dominik Mysterio. As per speculations, Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley will have a singles match for the Women’s World Championship and also for the custody of Dominik Mysterio.
Undisputed WWE Championship Match- Cody Rhodes (C) vs Solo Sikoa
Solo Sikoa recently pinned Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank to secure the win for The Bloodline. Solo previously hinted at intentions to bring back the Undisputed WWE Championship to the Bloodline. As per speculations, Solo Sikoa will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2024.
