WWE SummerSlam 2026 kicked off its two-night run on Saturday, August 1, from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Night 1 saw Liv Morgan retain her Women’s World Championship against Iyo Sky, CM Punk survive a war with Cody Rhodes to keep the Undisputed WWE Championship, and Oba Femi pick up a statement win over Brock Lesnar inside WWE Hell in a Cell.

Liv Morgan retains against Iyo Sky in a Women’s World Championship classic
In her first televised title defense since WrestleMania 42, Liv Morgan survived interference from Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, which Iyo Sky fought off with a moonsault block to the floor. After a string of near falls on both sides, Morgan hit a flying codebreaker followed by Ob-Liv-ion to retain the title.
Royce Keys, Solo Sikoa & LA Knight topple The Bloodline
Solo Sikoa’s night against his own brothers ended in victory, as LA Knight capitalized on the chaos to hit Jey Uso with the BFT for the win after Sikoa speared Jimmy Uso with a Samoan Spike.
Gunther submits Nick Aldis in his WWE in-ring debut
Nick Aldis, competing in his first WWE match, received a huge ovation from the Minneapolis crowd and nearly forced a tap-out with the King’s Lynn Cloverleaf. Gunther ultimately escaped and locked in a Sleeper Hold for the submission win.
Fatal Influence defeat The Bella Twins & Paige
Brie Bella appeared to suffer a shoulder injury late in the match, which Fatal Influence exploited. Jacy Jayne capitalized on a distraction to hit Paige with the Rolling Encore for the win.
CM Punk retains over Cody Rhodes in a brutal main event; Randy Orton returns
CM Punk and Cody Rhodes battled through two broken commentary tables and multiple finisher exchanges. A returning Randy Orton hit Rhodes with an RKO after Rhodes accidentally took out the referee, allowing Punk to hit a GTS for the pinfall and retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Oba Femi defeats Brock Lesnar in Hell in a Cell
Femi kicked out of three consecutive F5s and survived a Tombstone Piledriver on exposed wood before hitting the Fall from Grace for the win. Lesnar embraced Femi after the match in an apparent passing-of-the-torch moment.
