Night 2 of SummerSlam closed out the two-night event at U.S. Bank Stadium.
WWE SummerSlam 2026 wrapped up its two-night run on Sunday, August 2, from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Night 2 saw Roman Reigns retain the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins in a 40-plus minute main event, Kevin Owens make a stunning return to earn a shot at CM Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship, and Chelsea Green, Baron Corbin and Chad Gable all walk away as new champions.

- Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn, Finn Balor & Gunther – Fatal four-way No. 1 Contender’s match for the Undisputed WWE title (Gunther & Owens were added to the match by GM Nick Aldis)
- Baron Corbin pinned Trick Williams (c) – United States title match
- Chelsea Green defeated Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair & Lash Legend – Interim WWE Women’s title Ladder match
- Danhausen defeated Dominik Mysterio – Human Monies on a Pole match
- Chad Gable defeated Penta via submission (c) – Intercontinental title match

Kevin Owens returns after 17 months to become No. 1 Contender
What began as a Sami Zayn vs Finn Balor match was turned into a fatal four-way by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis, who added Gunther and then a returning Kevin Owens, back for the first time since suffering a severe neck injury.
After Sami and Kevin shared an emotional embrace before turning on each other, Owens capped the chaos by stopping Zayn’s Helluva Kick attempt with a superkick, then hit a Stunner for the pin to earn a title shot against CM Punk.
Baron Corbin dethrones Trick Williams for the US Title
Trick Williams controlled much of the brawl, at one point setting up a table at ringside, but Baron Corbin, competing in his first televised WWE match in nearly two years, turned the tide.
After Trick’s ally Yachty was taken out through the table, Corbin raked Trick’s eyes, blasted him with the title belt, and hit End of Days for the pinfall to become the new United States Champion.
Chelsea Green survives a five-way Ladder match to win the Interim Women’s Title
Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend battled through a chaotic ladder match that saw Flair fend off interference from B-Fab and Michin. In the closing moments, Flair and Jade both grabbed for the title belt but lost their grip and fell, allowing Green to climb the fallen ladder and pull down the belt to become the new Interim WWE Women’s Champion.
Danhausen defeats Dominik Mysterio for the Human Monies
‘Dirty Dom’ Dominik Mysterio got help from Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh, who took out several of Danhausen’s Minihausens during the match.
Joe Hendry eventually arrived to even the odds, smashing JD with his guitar, which let Danhausen fight off Dom and grab the Human Monies hanging above the ring for the win.
Chad Gable wins the Intercontinental Title in his hometown
In an emotional showdown in his native Minneapolis, Chad Gable traded near falls with Penta before countering a Destroyer attempt into an ankle lock.
When Penta couldn’t hold the ropes long enough to break the hold, Gable added a leg lace and forced the tap out to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Penta helped Gable up after the match and fastened the title around his waist himself, before Gable’s family joined him in the ring for the celebration.
Roman Reigns retains over Seth Rollins in a physical main event
The former Shield brothers went over 40 minutes in a brawl that spilled through the crowd and two announce tables. When Rollins reached for a chair after the referee was knocked down, Roman Reigns cut him off and tossed the weapon aside, choosing to finish the fight clean.
After trading a Pedigree, a Stomp and a series of near falls, Reigns hit three consecutive spears to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The two rivals ended the night with a mutual fist bump.
