WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night 2 - Preview, start time & where to watch

The Biggest Party of the Summer wraps up tonight.
Night 1 delivered on its promise in Minneapolis, and now the WWE Universe turns its attention to Night 2 of SummerSlam 2026, live from U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, August 2.
Six matches round out the 39th edition of the event, headlined by a fourteen-year rivalry finally reaching the biggest stage when Roman Reigns defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins.
Sunday also crowns a new titleholder in the women’s division, with a five-way Ladder Match determining the interim WWE Women’s Champion in Rhea Ripley’s absence, while Penta, Trick Williams and Sami Zayn all have championship business of their own.
Below is the complete lineup, match-by-match breakdown, start time and telecast information for Night 2 of WWE SummerSlam 2026.
WWE SummerSlam 2026 – Night 2 (Sunday, August 2)
- Roman Reigns (c) vs Seth Rollins – World Heavyweight title match
- Penta (c) vs Chad Gable – Intercontinental title match
- Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill vs Charlotte Flair vs Chelsea Green vs Lash Legend – Interim WWE Women’s title Ladder match
- Trick Williams (c) vs Baron Corbin – United States title match
- Finn Balor vs Sami Zayn – No. 1 Contender’s match for the Undisputed WWE title
- Danhausen vs Dominik Mysterio – Human Monies on a Pole match
Roman Reigns (c) vs Seth Rollins – World Heavyweight Championship match
This one goes back to The Shield. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have shared a ring on the biggest stages for over a decade, but the two have never actually settled things one-on-one when a world title was on the line in a fully clean, decisive fashion, and Rollins has repeatedly gotten the better of Reigns at key moments across their history.
The current chapter began on the Raw after Night of Champions, when Rollins interrupted Reigns mid-promo and threw down the challenge, which Reigns accepted after a heated exchange. The contract signing turned physical in the go-home week, with Rollins getting the last word before Sunday.
Reigns enters as champion after winning the title at WrestleMania 42, while Seth Rollins is chasing the championship he never lost in the ring, having had it taken from him due to injury.
With Bloodline mythology still hovering over Reigns’ character and Rollins motivated to prove he still has the OTC’s number, this closes the two-night event as its emotional centerpiece.
Penta (c) vs Chad Gable – Intercontinental Championship match
Gable earned this opportunity by outlasting six others, including Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Ethan Page, Je’Von Evans, Joe Hendry and Rusev, in a gauntlet match on the July 13 episode of Raw, finishing Page with the Ankle Lock.
Penta has been a dominant champion since beating Dominik Mysterio for the title in March, having gone on to defend successfully against the likes of Ethan Page, Je’Von Evans and Rey Mysterio, including a grueling Ladder match survival at WrestleMania 42.
The extra layer is location. Gable is from Minneapolis, and WWE has leaned into the hometown redemption angle for a wrestler who has spent the past year rebuilding his standing with fans after turning babyface. A title win in front of his own crowd would be one of the most emotional moments of the weekend.
Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder match
Rhea Ripley’s torn meniscus ruled her out of SummerSlam entirely, prompting WWE to introduce an interim championship rather than have her relinquish the title outright. Adam Pearce confirmed the winner of this five-way Ladder match will eventually face Ripley once she is medically cleared to determine the sole champion.
Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill were the first two to qualify on the July 17 SmackDown. Chelsea Green and Charlotte Flair followed a week later, with Flair advancing by disqualification after Cargill interfered in her match against Nia Jax. The fifth and final spot came down to the wire, with Lash Legend defeating Giulia on the go-home SmackDown to round out the field.
With four former world champions among the five entrants and a title picture that will eventually funnel back to Ripley, this has the makings of one of the most unpredictable matches of the weekend.
Trick Williams (c) vs Baron Corbin – United States Championship match
This one came together fast. Corbin returned to WWE on July 10, interrupting a match between Williams and Carmelo Hayes and attacking both men before making his intentions on the title clear. He struck again after the July 24 SmackDown, ambushing Williams from ringside once the show had gone off the air.
Williams responded by grabbing a microphone and challenging Corbin to stop hiding and face him one-on-one at SummerSlam, which Corbin accepted immediately, promising to leave Minneapolis with the title.
It will be Corbin’s first televised match in over two years and a chance to become a two-time United States Champion, while Williams looks to notch his third defence since capturing the title from Sami Zayn.
Finn Balor vs Sami Zayn – No. 1 Contender’s match for the Undisputed WWE Championship
Sami Zayn won the Undisputed WWE title at Night of Champions before losing it just nine days later to a returning CM Punk.
Aggrieved by the short reign, Zayn pushed SmackDown General Manager Adam Pearce to be inserted straight into the Punk vs Cody Rhodes title match at SummerSlam, but Pearce instead set up a fatal four-way between Balor, Trick Williams, Royce Keys and Damian Priest, with the winner facing Zayn for the right to challenge next.
Balor won that match with a Coup de Grace on Priest, and he has since drawn his own parallel to Zayn’s situation, pointing to his Universal title reign a decade ago that lasted only 22 hours before he was forced to relinquish it through injury.
Whoever wins this one leaves Minneapolis with a direct path to the Undisputed WWE Championship, regardless of whether Punk or Rhodes is holding it.
Danhausen vs Dominik Mysterio – Human Monies on a Pole match
This feud started when Judgment Day paid Danhausen to place a curse on Oba Femi. When Danhausen failed to deliver and spent the money instead, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh spent weeks demanding it back.
Things escalated on the go-home Raw, where a Danhausen and Joe Hendry concert was crashed by Ryan Garcia and Judgment Day, leaving both men laid out. When Pearce told Danhausen to simply return the cash, Danhausen refused and instead demanded a Human Monies on a Pole match, which Pearce made official on the spot.
It is WWE’s first pole match in years, with a briefcase containing 100,000 dollars in “human monies” hanging above the ring. Whoever climbs the pole and grabs it first wins the match and keeps the cash.
