WWE SummerSlam 2026 Results: Baron Corbin defeats Trick Williams to capture US title; sends Lil Yachty crashing through a table

Outside interference, championship controversy & a dramatic finish help Corbin capture the US title.
Baron Corbin is once again a champion in WWE after defeating Trick Williams to capture the United States Championship at SummerSlam 2026.
The hard-hitting contest in the second match of Night 2 of SummerSlam featured plenty of action both inside and outside the ring, with weapons, outside interference and a controversial finish ultimately deciding the outcome.
Trick Williams looked poised to retain his title on multiple occasions, but Corbin capitalized on a crucial distraction to score the biggest victory of his recent resurgence.
The result crowns Corbin as the new United States Champion and marks the end of Trick Williams’ reign following a chaotic championship battle.
Trick Williams starts fast before Baron Corbin takes control
The match exploded into action as soon as the opening bell sounded. Trick Williams immediately unloaded with right hands before planting Corbin with a flapjack. The champion continued his aggressive approach with a Trick Slap before sending Corbin crashing to the floor with a clothesline.
Looking to inflict even more punishment, Trick introduced a table from underneath the ring and set it up at ringside. However, before he could capitalize, Corbin wisely retreated back into the ring to slow the momentum.
The fight quickly spilled outside once again. As Trick charged toward his challenger, Corbin countered perfectly with a devastating Deep Six on the floor before repeatedly driving the champion into the barricade, ring post and steel steps.
Back inside the ring, Corbin remained firmly in control, mixing heavy right hands with powerful clotheslines while keeping Trick grounded.
When Trick attempted to fight back from the apron, Corbin resorted to a rake to the eyes that sent the champion crashing back to ringside.
Lil Yachty gets involved before Corbin steals the championship
The turning point came when rapper Lil Yachty became involved at ringside. After Corbin shoved Yachty into the barricade, the musician grabbed a kendo stick in retaliation, although Corbin wisely escaped back into the ring before any damage could be done.
Trick regained momentum by avoiding a splash and connecting with a neckbreaker before following it up with a spinning kick and the Book End. The champion covered Corbin, but the challenger powered out at two.
Another comeback attempt ended after Corbin once again raked Trick’s eyes before both men exchanged near falls. Corbin looked ready to finish the match with End of Days, but Trick escaped, landed on his feet and answered with a kick to the face for another close two-count.
As Corbin retreated onto the ring apron, Trick attempted to pull him back inside. Instead, Corbin dropped the champion throat-first across the top rope. Moments later, Corbin grabbed the United States Championship belt while the referee’s attention shifted elsewhere.
Lil Yachty intercepted him and climbed onto the apron with the title in hand, but the distraction backfired. Trick struck Corbin, whose momentum carried him into Lil Yachty, sending the rapper crashing through the table that had been set up earlier in the match.
With the official still distracted by the chaos, Corbin seized his opportunity. He blasted Trick Williams with the United States Championship belt before delivering a crushing End of Days.
Corbin hooked the leg, secured the three-count, and celebrated as the new United States Champion, ending Trick Williams’ reign in controversial fashion.
