Top five WWE superstars who can replace Carlito in the Judgement Day

Carlito’s addition to the villainous faction, the Judgement Day, was a welcome addition to begin with. However, the departure of Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest has made the group thin on firepower considering the Puerto Rican veteran is at the fag end of his career.
If WWE is looking to further the Judgement Day storyline they would probably need to replace Carlito with another superstar. Here, we take a look at the top five WWE superstars who can replace Carlito in the group.
5. R-Truth
R-Truth was involved in a hilarious storyline late last year, wherein he pretended to be a part of the Judgement Day stable. Only to be beaten to a pulp by its members every time.
Now, with a big void in the ensemble, it feels just the right time for the former WWE 24×7 champion to join the group’s ranks at Carlito’s expense.
There’s one problem, though: R-Truth portrays a babyface persona, while Judgement Day is a heel stable. WWE could solve this issue by turning the former TNA star negative, especially seeing he was recently betrayed by his partner, The Miz.
4. Pete Dunne
Pete Dunne has been on a busy schedule recently, as he has been alternating between NXT and the main roster. Not to mention, an injury to his tag team partner, Tyler Bate, has halted any momentum the talented duo were gaining.
Granted, Dunne’s feud with Sheamus was an absolute slobber knocker, but the Stamford-based promotion’s creative team would be scratching their heads regarding the Englishman’s future storyline. It could be a well-crafted move to replace Carlito in the Judgement Day faction with the former Brawling Brutes member.
It will give the villainous group a rabid member who is always down for a fight, particularly as it features the likes of Dominik Mysterio, who takes the flight approach whenever in danger.
3. Xavier Woods
WWE has been slowly turning Xavier Woods into a despicable heel, as the change in his on-screen portrayal has been quite apparent.
Given that he’ll most likely backstab his long-time associate, Kofi Kingston, anytime now, it’ll make a ton of sense for him to join a menacing stable.
What better group for Woods to join than Judgement Day? Carlito’s run with the ensemble has been underwhelming, and the wrestling juggernaut could do well by adding another experienced campaigner into the mix.
2. Sheamus
Sheamus has long been the flagbearer of Ireland in WWE. Finn Balor, who is an essential cog in the Judgement Day is also from the same part of the British Isle. Moreover, JD McDonaugh also hails from the same place.
The two could be part of a storyline wherein they try to recruit ‘The Celtic Warrior’ to Judgement Day, citing their common Irish heritage. The saga could see Sheamus resisting Balor and McDonough’s advances initially but succumbing to their force.
Moreover, the group would gain a much more intimidating member in the former WWE champion instead of Carlito.
1. Bron Breakker
Bron Breakker has captured the imagination of the fans ever since his impressive NXT run. The second-generation superstar has continued his rich vein of momentum coming into the main roster and has become the Intercontinental champion twice already.
However, Breakker has always been portrayed as a lone wolf on WWE programming; it could finally be the time to pair him with a bunch of like-minded individuals. On step the Judgement Day, that could definitely do with a superstar with a ripped physique and mean streak.
Moreover, the former NXT champion carrying the IC strap means the heel ensemble would add some more gold to its ranks. Additionally, Breakker could learn some tricks of the trade by rubbing shoulders with the likes of Finn Balor. Replacing the veteran Carlito with the young blood could be a smart move by the Triple H regime.
Carlito’s presence on Judgement Day has been forgettable for a plethora of reasons, and he could soon be cut off from the group. If it happens, either of the men mentioned in the above list could easily step into his shoes.
