AJ Lee submits Becky Lynch, Dominik Mysterio wins & more!

Following a huge year that saw WWE launch two new premium live events alongside several returning favorites, the company then delivered its final main roster PLE of 2025: Survivor Series WarGames.

The 39th Survivor Series emanated on November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego, California. This year’s Survivor Series was the fourth in a row to feature a WarGames match. It was also the first to take place outdoors, the first held in a stadium, the first hosted at a Major League Baseball venue, and only the second Survivor Series in California, following the 2018 event in Los Angeles.

From the two marquee WarGames matches in the men’s and women’s divisions, the PLE also features two title clashes. The 17-time World Champion John Cena also made his final WWE PLE appearance. Get to know what happened this Saturday, as we have the complete summary, highlights, results, grades, and winners’ list for WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2025.

Charlotte Flair and Asuka kicked off the match and were later joined by Iyo Sky, who walked in with a trash can lid. Flair and company had the advantage in the match. Becky Lynch came next, followed by Alexa Bliss, Kairi Sane, AJ Lee, and Nia Jax. Rhea Ripley walked in with a trash can and a baseball bat in her hands, while Lash Legend was the final woman, as the cage door shut and the bell rang.

In the final moments of the match, Lee, with the help of Ripley, handed Iyo the trash can as Sky took everyone out with the patented trash can Swanton from the top of the cage. Becky managed to escape the Swanton and tried to run away, as Ripley delivered the Riptide and AJ locked in the Black Widow, forcing Lynch to tap once again, securing the win for the babyfaces.

Winner: Alexa Bliss, Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair & AJ Lee

Grade: B+

Match Insights & Moments:

  • Charlotte’s gear tonight was inspired by Scarlett, a young fan currently battling a brain tumor.
  • AJ Lee once again forced Becky Lynch to tap out, which will add more fuel to their feud and eventual clash.

John Cena (c) vs Dominik Mysterio – Intercontinental title match

In the second match of the show, John Cena defended the Intercontinental title in a rematch against Dominik Mysterio. Dominik Mystero was accompanied by Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, who caused multiple interferences. Dirty Dom faked an injury ringside while Raquel hit Cena with the Tahana bomb, and Perez followed it up with the Pop Rox.

Dominik, being checked on by the medical team, rushed into the ring to hit the 619 and a frog splash. However, the official, irked by the shenanigans, refused to count and kicked Perez and Raquel from ringside. This helped Cena regain his footing in the match until Finn Balor and JD McDonagh arrived to aid Dirty Dom. Cena countered both Balor and McDonagh, picking them up to deliver a double AA.

Dominik tried to capitalize, bringing in the title, but Cena ducked to hit another AA, but the referee was taken out earlier accidentally by Cena when Mysterio ducked a shoulder tackle. Liv Morgan suddenly appeared, making her return to slap Dirty Dom. Morgan then leapt into Cena’s arms before low-blowing him. Dominik followed with a 619, and Morgan finished the attack by striking Cena with the title.

Winner & New: Dominik Mysterio

Grade: B+

Match Insights & Moments:

  • This marked Cena’s final PLE appearance and the 178th PLE match of his career.
  • Liv Morgan made her return for the first time since June 2025, when she suffered a shoulder injury.

Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs Nikki Bella – Women’s World title match

In the co-main event of the show, Stephanie Vaquer defended the Women’s World title against her former friend Nikki Bella. Nikki went right after Vaquer from the opening bell, landing vicious strikes to gain the early advantage.

Vaquer initially pushed her back, but a tweaked knee and a Bella Buster on the floor shifted the momentum. However, the Champion mounted a comeback, hitting a Devil’s Kiss on the announce desk, followed by two Devil’s Kisses in the ring, and the corkscrew moonsault to secure the win and retain the title.

Winner & Still: Stephanie Vaquer

Grade: C+

Match Insights & Moments:

  • Stephanie Vaquer now holds the most wins in 2025 with 28 victories (after tonight), and has been Women’s World Champion for 70 days.
  • Nikki delivered a much stronger performance compared to her previous matches since her return earlier this year.

CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso & Roman Reigns vs The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed), Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre & Brock Lesnar – Men’s WarGames match

The men’s WarGames closed out the final PLE of 2025. CM Punk and Bron Breakker kicked off the action. Breakker’s team had won the advantage match. Drew McIntyre came next, followed by Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Jimmy Uso, Bronson Reed, Jey Uso, and Brock Lesnar. Roman Reigns was the final man to make the walk, and Lesnar was very eager to welcome him as he exited the cage.

Reigns intially took over with three Superman punches; however, Lesnar parried the fourth one to F5 Reigns onto the announce desk. He then brought Reigns into the cage as the bell rang and the WarGames match was underway. Heyman handed Logan the brass knuckles and he managed to do some damage before eating a massive spear from Reigns who took the brass knuckles.

The babyfaces mounted a short comeback and Punk hit Lesnar with a GTS. However, just then, a masked men climbed the cage and jumped in, hitting Punk with a Superkick followed by a Stomp, before leaving the cage. Breakker then delivered a massive spear to pin Punk and secure the win for his team.

  • None of the babyface team members had ever lost a WarGames match, going into the 2025 match.
  • This is Brock Lesnar’s first match teaming up with someone since 2004. It was also his first WarGames match.
  • After the match, Roman helped Punk back to his feet, and the two shared a fist-bump as a sign of respect. Reigns then moved to assist Cody, who got up on his own. The two men exchanged words while Punk and Cody were talking, and Reigns walked off before facing Cody, who stepped in front of him. Reigns stated that it would be the last time they would ever team, and Cody nodded in agreement as the show concluded.
