WWE to hold double taping of Raw & SmackDown on August 28 in Cleveland

WWE will hold a double taping of SmackDown and Raw in August. The August 28 edition of Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
The show will air at its usual time of 8 PM ET on the USA Network in the US and on Netflix internationally, excluding some markets. Meanwhile, the August 31 edition of Monday Night Raw will be pre-taped after SmackDown in the same arena. The show will air on Monday at 8 PM ET on Netflix, excluding select markets.
The August 31 episode of Raw was initially set to emanate from Charlotte, North Carolina, but the event was postponed to February 2027 and has since been changed into a pre-taped show after SmackDown.
Meanwhile, the September 4 episode of SmackDown currently does not have a confirmed venue after the originally planned event in Cincinnati was canceled.
WWE will also host the 2026 edition of NXT Heatwave on August 30. The PLE will emanate live from the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas.
Fans are currently gearing up for SummerSlam 2026
WWE is currently gearing up to deliver the July 18 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will take place at MSG in New York. SNME will be followed by Summer’s Biggest Party, SummerSlam, in August.
Four matches have been announced for the show, including an appearance from World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson, who accepted Reigns’ invitation for SNME this weekend.
The 39th edition of SummerSlam will air as a two-night spectacle on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Multiple major matches have been announced for the show, featuring top WWE names like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Liv Morgan, Iyo Sky, Oba Femi, and LA Knight, among others.
