WWE WrestleMania 41 Night Two Summary and Highlights

Iyo Sky (c) vs Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair – Triple threat for the Women’s World Championship match

Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky defended her title in the first match of the show against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair in a triple-threat match. While Ripley and Belair tried to disrespect the Champion once again and battle each other, Sky refused and taught them a lesson.

The three stars put on a show to energize the crowd from the start with multiple close pinfalls and finishers, the match continued as Ripley and Belair battled.

In the final moments of the match, Belair picked Ripley for a KOD, but Rhea countered and went for the Riptide. However, Belair rejected the attempt, slapping her with the braid and landing the KOD to Ripley, but Sky broke the cover with a moonsault and picked up the win, pinning Belair to retain the title.

Damian Priest vs Drew McIntyre – Sin City Street Fight

Animosity took center stage as Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest clashed in a brutal street fight. The bell had barely finished echoing when McIntyre blindsided Priest from behind, setting an intense tone for the chaos that followed.

Priest mounted a comeback as the crowd gasped with the two heavyweight clash featuring steel chairs, steps, tables and whatnot. However, in the end, Drew hit a Future Shock DDT on the steel steps, then countered a high-risk move from Priest by shoving him from the ropes through both tables outside.

McIntyre capped it off as he lined up the final shot, sandwiching Priest into the steel chair near the ringside, followed by a Claymore to pick up the win in the Sin City street fight.

Bron Breakker (c) vs Penta vs Dominik Mysterio vs Finn Balor – Intercontinental Championship fatal four-way match

Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker defended the title in a fatal four-way match against Penta, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio, but all eyes were on the two Judgment Day members as fans speculated what Balor and Mysterio would do.

Balor and Mysterio worked together in the beginning to take control but Breakker single-handedly decimated everyone, Judgment Day member Carlito also tried to interfere in the match but got hit with a vicious spear from Bron.

In the closing moments, it looked like Breakker would finish the job with a spear on Penta but Dominik reappeared, dropkicking the champion, hitting a 619 and going for the frog splash. However, Balor stepped in and grabbed Dominik’s leg, causing him to crash on the ropes.

Balor then landed the swingblade, followed by the Coup de Grace on the Champion but Dominik broke the cover with a frog splash and then pinned his stablemate to pick up the win and become the new IC Champion.

Randy Orton vs Joe Hendry

As promised, Randy Orton refused to call it a day after Kevin Owens pulled out of the Mania clash and declared that he will be competing in his 20th WrestleMania. Orton issued an open challenge to anyone who dared to walk into the ring to face him.

Despite fan speculation, it was TNA World Champion Joe Hendry who appeared, probably because somebody said his name and challenged the Viper. The crowd was on their feet as Hendry rallied the crowd and battled Orton.

However, when it seemed like it was going all too well for Hendry, Orton hit an RKO outta nowhere to pick up the win. Orton embraced Hendry after the match as a sign of respect but in true Orton fashion, hit another RKO to celebrate the win.

AJ Styles vs Logan Paul

In one of the most anticipated matches of the weekend, Logan Paul stepped into the squared circle with AJ Styles. Paul took control early, battering Styles, who refused to quit and mounted a comeback to but was unable to pin Paul as Logan started to come back.

In the final moments of the match, one of Paul’s henchmen, named Jeff, crawled to the ringside, attempting to slide in brass knuckles. But out of nowhere, Karrion Kross appeared, intercepting him. Kross urged Styles to use the brass knuckles, but AJ refused taking out Kross. Styles then set up the Phenomenal forearm but Paul countered with the right hand, followed by the pulverizer to pick up the win.

Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs Lyra Valkyria & Becky Lynch – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez put their title on the line against Lyra Valkyria but her tag partner Bayley, was injured, which meant she needed a replacement, which she got in fellow Irish stars and former multi-time World Champion Becky Lynch who made her return after almost a year of absence.

While Liv and Rodriguez used their game plan to shut off Lynch and target Valkyria, the challengers mounted a comeback as Morgan landed the oblivion and went for the cover on Becky, Lyra broke the cover and took out Rodriguez.

Liv then retaliated, taking out Valkyria but got caught with the manhandle slam from Lynch, as she picked up the win in her return to become the new Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria.

Cody Rhodes (c) vs John Cena – Undisputed Championship match

In the main event of the ‘Grandest Stage’, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defended the title against John Cena, who was looking to win the title and break the tie with Ric Flair to become the 17-time WWE World Champion.

Cena struggled with the jitter early as the Champion took control, but Cena mounted a comeback, pushing a slow pace, showcasing shades of his past self but darker and more desperate. Despite multiple AAs and crashing head-first into the exposed turnbuckle, Cody refused to quit.

However, the appearance of Travis Scott seemed to change things as Cena and Scott tried to punish Rhodes, who countered and took out Scott with a Cross Rhodes. Cena capitalized and brought the title in the ring but Rhodes caught him and won the tug of war but took too long to decide whether he should return the favor.

Cena capitalizes again, landing a low blow, as he called on the referee who stepped in to make the pin and John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion, breaking the tie with Ric Flair and becoming the 17-time World Champion.
