WrestleMania is heading overseas!
In a landmark shift for professional wrestling, WrestleMania will reportedly leave North America for the very first time. Multiple outlets confirm that WrestleMania 43 is set to take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2027, following what appears to have been an accidental early reveal from Saudi officials.
The news broke when a press release from Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, briefly went live online. Though the statement was quickly deleted, industry outlet PWInsider has since verified its accuracy. An official joint announcement from WWE and Saudi authorities is expected in the coming weeks, making the historic move all but certain.
WWE Deepens Saudi Partnership
WWE’s partnership with Saudi Arabia began in 2018 and has since become one of the promotion’s most lucrative international deals. Under the agreement, the Kingdom hosts two major Premium Live Events each year, with shows like Crown Jewel and Night of Champions bringing global attention to the region.
The relationship was further strengthened during Night of Champions Weekend, when WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H highlighted the country’s growing role in the company’s long-term plans. Earlier this year, WWE confirmed that the 39th annual Royal Rumble would take place in Riyadh in January 2026, alongside two other major events on Saudi soil that same year.
For years, there has been speculation that Saudi Arabia wanted the crown jewel of WWE’s calendar – WrestleMania. That chatter intensified when reports suggested that The Rock was being considered for a marquee role at the event, further fueling speculation about WWE’s future direction.
From Las Vegas to Riyadh

WrestleMania 42 is already locked in for Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18–19, 2026. That venue also hosted WrestleMania 41, following the cancellation of the original New Orleans booking. But WrestleMania 43 will break tradition in dramatic fashion by leaving the United States entirely.
The 2027 event is expected to be one of the most significant spectacles in WWE history. By bringing The Showcase of the Immortals to Saudi Arabia, WWE is not only setting a new precedent but also signaling its commitment to expanding its global reach like never before.
For fans, the shift represents a new era where WrestleMania is no longer tied exclusively to the U.S. or North America. Instead, it will now take its grandest stage to international markets, beginning with one of the most ambitious locations the company has ever pursued.
As anticipation builds, the question now is how WWE will deliver an event of this magnitude overseas while ensuring it lives up to WrestleMania’s legacy as the biggest show in sports entertainment.
When will WrestleMania 43 take place?
WrestleMania 43 is expected to be held in 2027, though the exact dates will be confirmed once WWE and Saudi officials make their official announcement.
Why is WrestleMania 43 being held in Saudi Arabia?
The move is part of WWE’s long-term partnership with Saudi Arabia, which began in 2018 and has since expanded to include major Premium Live Events each year.
What does this mean for future WrestleManias?
While WrestleMania 43 will be the first held overseas, it opens the door for WWE to consider other international markets for its biggest event in the future.
