WWE has hired a lot of highly talented free agents recently
WWE has been keen on hiring young and highly talented individuals all across the world to build a better future for the company. The current roster is filled with a number of young wrestlers and few veterans.
The company has been providing a lot of compensation to their stars to make them stay in the company for a long time and providing attractive contracts to highly talented stars from other promotions. Here we take a look at five of the latest signings of WWE.
5. Ethan Page
Ethan Page is one of the hottest signings of WWE, who just jumped ship from AEW. According to backstage reports, Page signed a WWE contract earlier this month after his contract ended with AEW and ROH.
He made his WWE debut on the May 28, 2024 episode of NXT in the final moments of the show, attacking Trick Williams and revealing he was the one who attacked Noam Dar & Oro Mensah of Meta Four. With this he became the seventh AEW star to join the Stamford-based company.
4. Tonga Loa
Tonga Loa made his surprise return at WWE Backlash France during the match between The Bloodline and the team of Randy Orton & Kevin Owens. During the match, he sneaked out under the ring and attacked Randy with the steel steps to help Bloodline win the Street fight match & join the faction.
Backstage reports then revealed that he had signed a contract with the Stamford based company in April 2024.
3. Erick Rowan
Erick Rowan, the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion and Wyatt Family member signed a contract with WWE in mid-April 2024. East Coast Pro Wrestling first announced that his scheduled appearance with the promotion was pulled off, due to his contractual obligation.
The backstage reports confirmed that he is signed with WWE and has begun his training in the WWE Performance Center. With the ongoing Uncle Howdy tease, his return is being anticipated.
2. Tama Tonga
Tama Tonga made his WWE debut on SmackDown after WrestleMania 40, joining forces with Solo Sikoa. He was announced as the newest member of the Bloodline, replacing Jimmy Uso.
Tama Tonga’s main roster debut, skipping NXT set the hype for his future and he has been proving his potential by sharing the ring with some of the best in the business, making him one of the top signees of the company.
1. Jacob Fatu
Jacob Fatu is one of the most anticipated WWE signings in recent times. The 32-year-old had dominated the independent circuits in recent times. The real-life Bloodline member on his Indi run got attention for his versatile moves and is seen as a mix of all top Samoan wrestlers.
He got signed to WWE in early April 2024, and is waiting for his debut. Backstage reports suggest that he has no rush in his debut and seems like the management is worried that he would overshadow the current Bloodline leader, Solo Sikoa. There is a huge hype for his debut and it makes him the top latest signees of the company.
