Xavier Woods wants Roman Reigns to be dethroned at WWE WrestleMania 40

Roman Reigns is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of the modern era, who has been having a monumental run in WWE.  He is the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, with a historical 1300+ days reign.

The Tribal Chief will be defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 in the main event of night 2. This is a rematch of last year’s main event, where Reigns was so close from losing his title. As most wonder if Cody Rhodes could dethrone Roman this year, The New Day member predicted the result of the match and wished Roman to lose at Mania.

Xavier Woods wants Roman Reigns to lose his title

Xavier Woods recently appeared for an interview on WWE: Die Woche, where The New Day member predicted the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 40. Woods says that there is now way Roman Reigns walks out of WrestleMania 40 as the champion. He justifies it by saying that he wants a champion, who shows up and defends the title a little more, which could open doors for a number of challengers.

Xavier Woods says,

“No. There is no way he gets through WrestleMania with that championship. If he does, I don’t know, I can’t say anything just in case he does, but I fully believe he’ll no longer be champion after WrestleMania 40. Then I feel we might just have a champion who shows up and defends the title a little more. Then maybe people will have a shot at winning the Universal Championship.”

Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes

Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes will take place on the main event of WrestleMania Night 2, however their match stipulations will only be found the previous day (WrestleMania Night 1). On Night 1, Roman Reigns will team up with The Rock and will face Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins in a tag team match.

If Cody & Seth win, Cody vs Roman on Night 2 will be free from The Bloodline and will be banned from the ringside. If The Rock & Roman Reigns won the tag team match, the Cody vs Roman match will become The Bloodline rules match.
