Zelina Vega drops out from WWE Speed Women’s Title Tournament amid injury

The semi-final of the tournament was scheduled for 12/27 episode of the show

Zelina Vega of Latino World Order (LWO) has been forced out of action due to an injury, which has halted her momentum towards the title. She was scheduled to face Natalya in the semi-finals of the WWE Speed Tournament.

The winner of this tournament will earn the opportunity to challenge the reigning WWE Speed Women’s Championship Candice LeRae.

Vega was scheduled to face Natalya in the recent episode of WWE’s X(Twitter)-exclusive program. However, she was replaced by B-Fab who clashed with the Canadian veteran instead.

Natalya emerged victorious against B-Fab, winning the match with just 22 seconds left. This triumph propelled her into the next round of the tournament, where she will compete to become Candice LeRae’s next challenger.

Zelina Vega will be out of action for an undisclosed time

During the match, Corey Graves from the commentary booth announced that Zelina Vega was replaced due to an injury that prevented her from competing. However, the promotion has not disclosed any details regarding the nature of Vega’s injury or a timeline for her return.

Vega last competed on the December 9 episode of Monday Night Raw where she competed in the Women’s Intercontinental title tournament. Vega took on Lyra Valkyria and Ivy Nile in a triple-threat match.

Lyra Valkyria picked up the win in the triple threat match which was held at the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. It is still unknown whether Vega suffered an injury during the IC title tournament match or later.

Valkyria is now scheduled to face IYO SKY in the semi-finals of the tournament on the 12/30 episode of Monday Night Raw. While Dakota Kai and Zoey Stark will clash in the second match of the semi-finals to decide the final two contenders for the inaugural title.

The 12/30 episode of Monday Night Raw will be telecasted live from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, U.S.A. This week’s episode of the Red brand will be the last episode on the USA Network as WWE RAW makes its debut on Netflix.
