CM Punk and Jack Perry 'suspended' by AEW for undisclosed period of time

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful select reported earlier that CM Punk and Jack Perry had a physical confrontation backstage moments before The Second City Saints match between CM Punk and Samoa Joe at AEW All In 2023.
It was reported that they had disagreements on the use of real glass during the fight with Hook at AEW Collision. During the Zero Hour match at All In, Jack Perry screamed on the camera “It’s real glass, cry me a river” directly pointing out CM Punk.
What happened?
After the Zero Hour of AEW All in Wembley Stadium, London, Perry returned backstage and confronted CM Punk, which witnesses reported to have turned physical. They were said to leave Wembley Stadium and AEW had plans of changing the opening match. But Punk and Joe managed to open the main card events of All In.
When the news started going viral, Bryan Alvarez and Sports Illustrated reported that CM Punk and Jack Perry are believed to be suspended after investigations and would likely miss the next pay-per-view All Out on September 3, 2023.
Confirmation on Suspension
Fightful Select has now confirmed that the reports by Bryan Alvarez and Sports Illustrated are true as AEW had suspended both CM Punk and Jack Perry for an undisclosed period of time. CM Punk will be removed from the All Out pay-per-view on September 3, 2023 as he was scheduled to perform for the show.
AEW in CM Punk’s Hometown
As AEW suspended CM Punk for an undisclosed period of time, AEW is hosting three shows in Chicago including Wednesday Night Dynamite, Saturday Night Collision and All Out on Sunday. As Chicago is said to be the hometown of Punk, AEW is now in a complex situation of holding the show without the hometown hero.
