The PPV saw some major stars making their returns!
AEW Revolution 2026 was never just going to be about what happened inside the ring. The pay-per-view at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles delivered on its promise of surprises, with a string of arrivals that reshaped the promotion’s landscape in a single night.
Debuts, comebacks, and confrontations left fans on their feet and Tony Khan’s roster suddenly looks a whole lot more loaded heading into the summer.
The biggest jaw-dropper of the evening came when Ronda Rousey made her shocking AEW debut, stepping out following Toni Storm’s victory over Marina Shafir.
Officials rushed to separate the two as Rousey stood in the ring and stared down “The Timeless One,” making her intentions crystal clear.
It is a near-certainty that Rousey does not wrestle until after her highly anticipated clash with Gina Carano on May 16 but when she does make her in-ring AEW debut, the match will be an event unto itself.
Will Ospreay’s return sends statement
The reaction reserved for Will Ospreay said everything about where he stands in AEW’s hierarchy. After Jon Moxley retained the Continental Championship over Konosuke Takeshita in a brutally hard-fought encounter, a hype vignette played and then Ospreay walked out to a massive pop.
He charged straight to the ring and took out the entire Death Riders faction singlehandedly, sending them scattering through the crowd in retreat.
The feud with Moxley now appears inevitable, and with AEW All In returning to London this summer, there is a compelling case that Ospreay is the man to carry the World Championship out of that event.
Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Kenny Omega, and Mistico completed a star-studded night
The returns did not end there for AEW Revolution 2026. After FTR defeated the Young Bucks in what many are calling a Match of the Year contender, the lights dropped and Adam Copeland returned to a thunderous reaction. Christian Cage followed immediately, blindsiding FTR from behind before Cope hit a Spear.
The two veterans posed with the tag titles and left no question about their next target. Meanwhile, Kenny Omega’s return arrived just in time to interrupt Swerve Strickland’s post-match assault on Brody King, teasing what should be a headline rivalry throughout the summer.
Rounding out the evening, lucha legend Mistico was officially announced as a new member of the AEW roster following JetSpeed’s Trios Championship victory, a quietly significant signing for a promotion that has steadily been stacking its talent depth.
