East Bengal FC vs Hwacheon KSPO WFC Player Ratings: Ikwaput shines, Shilky Devi disappoints
The Moshal Girls faced a heavy defeat at home against Hwacheon KSPO WFC.
In their second match of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026-27 season, East Bengal FC suffered a 1-4 loss at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, against South Korean football club, Hwacheon KSPO FC.
Despite getting a lead in the 17th minute of the game through a Fazila Ikwaput goal, the first half of the match ended with one goal each for the teams. It was later on in the second half, that Hwacheon completely outclassed the Torchbearers.
In the second half, while scoring three goals, the South Korean team maintained a solid defensive shape, stopping most East Bengal attacks. It was a rather disappointing match for the Red and Gold brigade who were toothless in attack and suboptimal in defense.
With one match remaining, East Bengal are still mathematically in the race, owing to their victory in the opening encounter against Ho Chi Minh City.
Let’s take a look at individual ratings for all the East Bengal players tonight:
East Bengal FC Player Ratings
Catch Every Update, Anytime, Anywhere

Panthoi Chanu 5/10
It was a difficult game for Panthoi Chanu. None of the goals conceded were sloppy, they were all very well taken and gave very little chance to Chanu to make a save. It is never a good look for a keeper to concede 4 in a single match nonetheless.
Sarita Yumnam 5/10
Sarita had an average game, struggling to keep Hwacheon’s attack at bay as the game wore on. She did not commit forward as frequently as the other side of the defensive line and goals were generally scored from the opposite end of the pitch.
Abena Opoku 5/10
Opoku was often left alone at the back by her fellow centre half, Alhassan who had a forgettable night. Opoku was relatively sturdy among the East Bengal defenders but she too, was suboptimal when facing the likes of Jae-Eun and Eun-Ju.
Adama Alhassan 4/10

Alhassan had a decent first half but things went downhill after the break as Alhassan pushed forward to help out the attack, leaving her position empty at the back.
In all the three goals that the South Korean outfit scored after the break, Alhassan was nowhere to be seen at the back.
Astam Oraon 6/10
Similar to Alhassan, Astam went ahead on some overlapping runs but this led to spaces opening up in the East Bengal backline. Hwacheon’s forwards exploited these spaces with ease and scored the goals that mattered. She assisted Ikwaput’s goal.
Hitomi Tanaka 4/10

Hitomi gave away the penalty that costed East Bengal the second goal. She managed to get a shot away at the beginning of the second half but the volley was well wide. A sloppy match from an otherwise trustworthy player.
Resty Nanziri 5/10
Nanziri had some good moments in the first half but was completely blunt in the second as East Bengal struggled more and more to keep the ball, managing a meagre 39% ball possession in the entire match.
Olivia Anokye 4/10
Anokye was barely visible on the pitch today, despite having a fairly good performance against Ho Chi Minh City. She failed to make any serious attempts at goal.
Shilky Devi 4/10

For Hwacheon’s third goal, Shilky Devi failed to return to her position at the far post, as Eun-Ju slotted in a comfortable goal assisted by Jeong-Min. Had Shilky been able to track back in time, the margin would’ve been relatively smaller. The third goal essentially took the game completely beyond East Bengal’s hands.
Sulanjana Raul 5/10
The usually lively youngster showed flashes of herself in the first half, but failed to translate them into any impact near goal. She made some darting runs down the flanks and had some good interchanges with fellow forwards in the first half.
Fazila ikwaput 7/10

Scorer of the lone goal for East Bengal. Could’ve easily added more to her tally but failed to do so despite quite a few opportunities in the first half.
The finish was well taken, on her left foot, drilled into the bottom corner. However, her missed chances will haunt East Bengal.
Substitutes:
Rimpa Halder 4/10
Rimpa Halder replaced Sulanjana Raul at half-time, a substitution which seemed a bit hasty. Halder was not half as lively or quick as Sulanjana and could not contribute much to East Bengal’s attacks.
Sathi Debnath 4/10
Sathi was bamboozled in the 75th minute as Hyeon-A played a tremendous throughball from right below her nose, and there was nothing she could do about it. It was chased by Jae-Eun, who converted with ease.
Naorem Priyangka Devi N/A
Priyangka Devi was introduced very late into the match and could not have any impact on the game.
