East Bengal are placed in pot 3 alongside Stallion Laguna from Philippines and North Korea’s Naegohyang.
The tournament will be held in three centralised venues. China, Vietnam and Myanmar have emerged as the hosts for the group stage. Wuhan Jiangda, Ho Chi Minh City and ISPE find themselves in the host’s pot. Whereas Pot 1 is graced by Melbourne City and Suwon from South Korea.
Japan’s Tokyo Verdy Beleza and Bam Khatoon from Iran are in Pot 3. Pot 4 has teams like Nasaf from Uzbekistan and Singapore’s Lion City Sailors. East Bengal fans would be praying not to be drawn against teams like Wuhan Jiangda, who are defending champions, as that will make their road tougher.
