As the stage is set and the stakes are higher than ever, the date is coming closer. The AWCL 2026-27 season draw is set to take place on Thursday, 3rd September, 2026, from 12:30 IST at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
East Bengal FC Women’s team are the second Indian side to have represented India in the AFC Women’s Champions League, but they are also the first Indian club to be set to play in the AWCL group stage for the second consecutive time. This surely brings global exposure and helps Indian Women’s football to a great extent, as they defeated Rajshahi Stars FC, Rovers and Sabah FA and then booked their spot in the group stage of the AFC Women’s Champions League.

The preparations for the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026-27 are in full swing as we now have all 12 teams that will be playing the continental tournament, as the group stage draw will be scheduled to take place on 3rd September, 2026, and the tournament is going to begin on 1st November, 2026.
As the Group stage of the AWCL 2026-27 season will conclude on 7th November, 2026 and after the completion of the group phase, the knockout phase timing will rise, as it is set to happen from 27th March, 2027. The Semifinal of the competition will take place on 19th May, 2027, and 22nd May will witness the final of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026-27.
As of now, 3rd September will see the draw with East Bengal FC from India having qualified for the group phase of the tournament after thrashing all three of their opponents and displaying a dominant performance against Guam, Rajshahi and Sabah FA in the qualifiers.
